Like many people who were first indoctrinated in the eighties Macca became a symbol of what it was, is and always will be to a Rangers man/fan. Part of my growing up, indeed my life. For those who may be too young to realise, just tho.k Clint Hill being 20 and playing the next 15 seasons like he did last season, yes, including the moody start, cos Macca weren't perfect either! Oversized shirt (somehow?), blond hair, tattoo and air of menace, thumbs up to Macca. |

Ah, this game is one of those that will remain in my memory for ever! Does any one who went remember the trumpet? That would be my non football mate I dragged up from university of Middlesbrough ( embarassed cough) for his first ever match. About 700-800 of us there and we had a right laugh. |

It's all rather surreal, the whole past week or so. Wright-Phillips is an outstanding signing for us, what a buzz there will be for the Newcastle game, might even sell out versus Wolves?! |

I was there for most of those games and the ones mentioned in the dialogue. That Villa game W7Ranger refers to was the following season when we won 1-0, lucky that day. Newcastle was fantastic, my mate with the trumpet, geordies going nuts, euphoria at the end followed by a police escort to the old mini I had! Looking back it is so obvious how we took all those great players, games and moments for granted, only now can we put it all in perspective. What awaits us.....!? |

I missed that bit about the Super Hoops membership being required to have priority for away tickets, i'll re-visit the web site and if you can get that seperate from the season ticket I might just go for that instead. Warnock and the players have spent the last 15 months restoring the pride and identity into the club and now these prats have totally killed it off again. I know one thing, if Warnock is sacked i'm definitely not getting a season ticket. |
| News Comment | This Week — We’ll never get a better chance, but Hall as skipper raises old problems at 19:33:07
I think M'Brough will win the league and then as many others have said it's an open race. Norwich I think will get in the play-offs yet Forest won't. This is the best chance we've had since the takeover as much because of the lack of competetive quality as due to our own merits. That though is where we can prevail. Organisation, stability and experience are all qualities within our team/squad and that I believe will be enough to get in the play-offs. If we were to buy the 20+ goal striker I would think we would have a sniff of second place. Having said al that if we don't get in the play-offs I won't be dismayed, there will always be the next season...! |
