Very good summary - best in a long time.
We did have other options in defence as witnessed when Chambers went to left back at the end of the game and without clarification of whether Fonte was able to play (I assume he must have been to be on the bench), it opens the manager up to criticism. The GK is clearly out of his depth but we have no other realistic alternatives - it is a position that requires bravery and confidence so the mindless few who get on his back during the game are true halfwits. As regards Jos and Fox, they stepped up but we have ample evidence that they are not good enough individually - let alone together with an inadequate keeper....it was the "Perfect Storm". I do have to question MP's recent decision making - I suspect others who's opinions count for more than mine are doing likewise

I would not be surprised to see Shaw start given the recent deficiencies at left back plus NA's habit of making these decisions. It has to happen sooner or later as Fox is clearly not the long term answer and the lack of a signing indicates that Shaw will be given his chance. Sooner the better as far as I am concerned.

The thing that seems blindingly obvious is that this league is ultra competitive and very tough and as a result no team has been able to "run away with the league". It is beyond me why you think that we should be disappointed that we have not been able to do this!!
Consider how we thought we would do at the beginning of the season and compare that with where we are now and decide if we have over achieved or not........
True our form has dipped but no other team has avoided similar issues and we remain well placed with a stronger squad at this point than the one which has got us to our current GREAT position.
Your comments regarding team spirit & confidence are highly subjective - I do not share them. Opinions about players is fine as it is evidence based but don't be a pseudo psychologist.
I agree with your comments regarding the strong second half performance and remain confident that we have what it takes for a top two finish.

Abuse Doesn't Help Our Players

I think we all would agree that there can be no possible benefit to not giving the Keeper full support during the game as he was clearly struggling with a crisis of confidence. Bart has proved himself to be a reasonable Keeper in the past and needed the support of his team and the crowd...I thought he got this.
I read the Telegraph and Holloway's comments with surprise as I did not pick up on ironic cheers, rather cheers of encouragement and applause when he collected or distributed the ball well.
I take nothing Holloway says seriously as he has become a media clown, constantly looking for a witty or controversial comment which he seldom achieves...
The reason there was 5 minutes extra time Mr Holloway was because your team time wasted from the moment you scored your second goal and for a rare occasion yesterday the referee made a good decision and punished your gamesmanship.

You certainly are bitter and twisted concerning Harding and it gets a tad tedious. I hope and expect that Fox will be a good signing but he did not play particularly well on Saturday. It was a win though and it can't always be champaign footie. A bit more objectivity would be appreciated.
