Genuine Open Question to Dave Sweetmore

Just a few days ago Elvis Costello very publicly asked DJs and radio stations to stop playing his song Oliver's Army because of its use of a certain well documented offensive word.

Whilst not wishing to get into a debate about the use of the word in question and its offensiveness I would simply like to ask why you then thought it would be appropriate to play the said song yesterday?

It was a staggeringly crass decision in my opinion!

Would it be possible to merge all the different threads relating to the ongoing issues at the club? It is getting a bit cumbersome and tricky to keep up with new posts when they are spread across about various different threads which are all ultimately discussing much the same thing?

We could even call it 'Tomorrow can't come soon enough - Part 2'!

The Bury fans who enjoyed the ride on 'The Revolution' then bleating "but what can we do?" when the same ride turned into 'Oblivion' will also be able to see how Rochdale fans are taking a stand to try to prevent our club going the same way!

I have just had a quick look and I think there are about 9 or 10 similar threads so thought I would ask the question. Obviously I don't know how time consuming it would be so appreciate it may not be feasible?

And so it starts...I am sure I read somewhere that they were supposed to be under some sort of embargo where they weren't allowed to pay players above a certain amount (think it came up in the Hendo thread?) Richie Wellens states "The money Bolton are throwing around for a player of his age, and a three-year deal at that, we couldn't get to that,"

Simply staggering!!!

Taking into account all the comings and goings over the last few weeks does anybody feel they have any idea how we will line up at Sixfields?

Just to start the ball rolling I would go for:

Lillis

McGahey Delaney McNulty

Rafferty Done

Cannon Camps Henderson

Andrew Humphreys

Subs:
Moore, Wiseman, Hart, Kitching, Inman, Rathbone, Dobre

Of course that is without being aware of any mysterious injury/illness/fitness/square-pegs-in-round-holes issues which have been plagued us all season! You would probably get shorter odds on winning the lottery jackpot than correctly guessing the 11 names and positions this afternoon!

Attendance 7224. What kind of crowd do people think Dale would get in a similar scenario (ie 2nd bottom and only having scored as many goals all season as you could count on both hands!!!?)

Doubt we'd get anywhere near that?

Anybody else listening?

Things learnt so far:

Ryan Lowe admits he was coerced into training that he didn't agree with whilst injured and wishes now that he had stood up to the management team!!!. Mmmm - that might explain their horrendous injury list.

Also one fan has just been on touting Steve Eyre (in tandem with Andy Ritchie) as next manager - seriously? . Please please please let this happen - it would be a dream appointment (for us!)

Not us thankfully!

As has been mentioned elsewhere - would be happy if we were never live on the telly again - we always seem to reserve our worst performances for the cameras!
