Yes, at 3.01 we were, but at 3.02 we were knocked off our perch by Forest Green Rovers. |

I think it might take a couple of injuries in Brentford's midfield for Ethan to get back on the bench, and then hopefully some actual minutes. He didn't make the bench so much in the last third of the season. Worse still for the lad, whereas last year he was a listed First Team squad member, this year he's been put back with the B-team. So very very tough at that level. Still, he's only 20 and breakthroughs often happen suddenly and unexpectedly. |

Yes, absolutely, those answers. Also though, just a hint more bravado. A little less of the social worker for the poor lambs. This IS gonna be a tough league to get out of if we don't stop imagining an away fixture at Borehanwood without counselling on the way is gonna give the squad PTSD. |

It would be great to hear JM interviewed by a third party about actual and specific football matters and not conceptual abstractions. |

I don't think anyone is in favour of uncontrolled and illegal immigration. The boats understandably brings about an emotive response and is being played by Reform like a fiddle. However, the numbers involved are tiny compared to those who come to live here perfectly legally, the majority but by no means all on student visas. The higher fees they for higher education largely prop up the way bloated and out of skew university sector (blame Blair). A huge amount of student accomodation has been built in recent years and yet a pitiful amount of family homes, and that with housing being perhaps the single biggest crisis in the UK, along with social care perhaps. None of the parties have really addressed this. |

"No, it goes into the purchaser's land bank to be utilised at a later date. I do think that the location and use may deflate its value on first transaction - but I suspect over time it would become a valuable asset." Thanks for your reply but I find that scenario far fetched. |

Surely anyone wanting to acquire eight acres or so of land somewhere in the area for the purposes of building houses or whatever else would be looking at a less complicated site and process. You'd have to be crazy no? |

You're not wrong. Could get proper ugly. One plus is that the Town Hall restoration, (which from the pics and vids looks spectacular), is gonna get a good slice of free publicity. |

I quite like the Squad Builder idea, (have just bunged in a few quid as a one off), and be happy to contribute monthly when it's up and running properly. If however down the line the Trust think it's best to use that fund to buy shares instead of to fund playing staff then all well and good. It's all gravy flowing in the right direction. |

Brenford more or less the perfect club to sell the lad to. With no previous possible add ons still in play (?) I think you could be forgiven for saying that the future of the club is currently in that boy's boots. No pressure Ethan. |

Agreed - aggressive short pitched spell on a dead wicket from Stokes paid off. Which I think runs in tandem with the early declaration and England's new attacking philosphy generally. Attack attack attack - I love it. And if we lose, next game, attack attack etc. It's a game and we're playing it as one. Now in that other sport, and I'm not a knocker of Southgate in any way shape or form, and it's a bigger deal I guess, I hope England show a little of the Stokes spirit tonight, and should we win, more of the same. |

Certainly was. The highest run rate over two innings in history. Turbo-confidence. |

Couldn't say for sure from camera angle but think from the direction the ball went more likely their player got a toe in first. Our players would have been more vocal I think if otherwise. Everyone was knackered in the last ten - I was just watching. A tenner well spent on IFollow. Never been so happy with three points. Well done all. |
