Really? So a woman in her 50s or 60s living in shall we say Gendros, is going to walk to Aldis in Cwndu, get her shopping, and that will make a significant impact? Do you really think that?
I feel your remarks are disingenuous, it's entirely preposterous that a scheme like this would be valid, in any walk of life.
15 minute walk you say? In an overcrowded housing estate what are they going to do knock down houses, and build an Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys close by? Not forgetting people who struggle to walk.
Good post, I was thinking when I read that, when did they change the law? I thought streaming was ok, but downloading and actually owning it was illegal? Like the way I see it, streaming is basically like walking in a shop, reading a magazine and not paying for it.
Campaigners gathered in Oxford for a mass leaflet drop warning about the dangers of 15-minute cities. Many believe Oxford County Council are pushing through the trial of a controversial traffic filtering system without democratic consent.
Funnily enough the missis said 'that looks alrit' when an advert appeared for the rig, think I'll give it a miss.
Tell you what I did watch and thoroughly enjoyed, and didn't think I would, The Mandolorian , and The book of Boba Fett absolutely fantastic, can't wait for season 3 of The Mandalorian think it's March.
Normal stuff is the same, like Cobra Kai sub to netflx, like the Mandolorian disney plus, like Jack Ryan amazon, and no doubt same with apple plus, they have spread any decent series across a multitude of paid for view, so fck em.
No, I am talking about a large stretch of road re-laid, like what rayner pointed out up in townhill, that has been done loads of times. And it's everywhere .Re-lay lasts 2 years and potholes.
It's like when they lay new tarmac, they scrape back the existing tarmac, and a little bit below. But some areas have been laid numerous times, and the problem keeps reoccurring, so it's either the tamac is rubbish, or the sub base is not correct. For me it's quite obvious the sub base is not correct, most prob been dug up over the years and the utilities have not reinstated properly
Yes, it's been ongoing there for 2 months at least, seems the same everywhere. But I don't understand why it is happening all over, these potholes don't seem to appear on the motorways.? They just keep relaying tarmac and the same thing occurs on our roads, I'm thinking and it must be the only reason why this keeps happening is the sub base was not compacted correctly?
Many years ago, had the same problem myself. I think it's a case of, it suddenly dawns on you, if you make a mistake you are going to be dead or seriously injured., btw I would never go on a roof without scaffolding outside ever again.
Scary the way things are going, watching wales at 6 other day, and some young lad was told to take his grandfather to hospital who was having a cardiac arrest. Regardless of who is too blame, in five years time if the nhs keeps on deteriorating the way it is, then we are all ferked.
Just to add I know that's happened to a poster on here with his parent as well.. It's disgusting.
