Have a good trip K. Been over to Brussels with Wales a couple of times and always enjoyed it. I'm not going this week as saving the brownie points for the World Cup. Take it easy on the Belgian beer mind, some great ales to had but it's mostly pretty potent stuff! Oh, for a bar like Delirium in Qatar.... |

Absolutely despise the England football team and it's (dickhead) supporters... Closely followed by the Wales rugby team and the pathetic Welsh media that insist on perpetuating the myth of Welsh people being obsessed with the oval ball. Chip on my shoulder? No... |
| Forum Thread | Wales - World Cup Play Off Final. Ticket exchange offer at 12:54 29 May 2022
I have 3 tickets (2 adults and 1 child) in the family stand for next Sunday's game against Scotland/Ukraine. My daughter is now unable to attend as she is participating in a concert, and therefore I would prefer to not be in the family stand. Would anyone who has 2 tickets together in any other part of the stadium be interested in exchanging 2 adult tickets for my 3 family stand tickets? |

Mark Hughes. Classic scissor kick versus Spain at the Racecourse, 1985ish the best for technique, against quality opposition too! Giggs winner against NI when beating them 3.2 at Windsor Park was quality, similar to his Belgium debut goal I think.. fuzzy memory here too. My all time favorite Wales goal though, for the completely going beserk moment, was Sam Vokes' header against Belgium in Lille.. |

1981!..Unforgettable. 15-16 years old. My first season ticket at the Swans, although had been going to Vetch since '74 Tosh and Curt, Legends. The Jam, Specials, Madness Waved goodbye to my virginity... 1981..yep, unforgettable! |
| Forum Reply | Panathinaikos home : Remember this ? ON THIS DAY at 20:03 27 Sep 2021
I remember it well. On the lash all afternoon in The Clarence with my brother and a mate who has since passed away, celebrating the birth of my eldest daughter. My brother and mate had survived Glyfada on the away trip and had met up with Van Zweden whilst there and we had a couple of beers with him that afternoon. I don't really remember the game so much, but will never forget the sight of the Greeks dancing around their flares in the East stand at the final whistle.. T**ts! |
| Forum Reply | Wales 2020 Euros Games / Tickets / Travel / Meets / Accommodation at 13:17 24 Feb 2020
Agree with Builth here. It's cheaper to organise yourself and more preferable to not have to abide by a tour operators timetable. I did however use Wonky Sheep for Baku last November but on a flight only basis. This meant that as soon as we landed we were free to head off and not be shepherded around like a Japanese tour group.. To be fair, they were well organised and a lot of Wales fans use them every trip. Not my cup of tea, prefer to do my own thing, I think of it as the supporters 'pop and crisps' travel club of Wales Away trips. I'm not going to Baku for the Euros, as been there twice already and with accommodation having become extortionate for the Euros. The hotel that my son and I had in November cost £40 a night for a double room but is now charging over £300 a night! I'll be in Rome for a few days and should we progress past the group stage, I will do all those games … as long as their not in Baku... even though I will probably be gutted not to be there when the time comes. |

I'm in the picture, in front of Badger..(not the guy with the shades!) Weirdly, I never knew Badger then but sat right behind him for the first few years at the Liberty and got to know him quite well. My son is stood with his mates in front of the lad in the reebok top. He was a familiar face back then, very sad to read that he has passed away. Who were we playing in that day anyway? |
| Forum Reply | Brecon at 14:09 23 Nov 2019
I live in Brecon, so will chip in here. Food and drink. Hills. Ok, if you like a burger.. but great for the views. The George. A decent Wetherspoons just off town centre. The Castle. Bar meals and restaurant are tidy enough but a bit overpriced. THE best spot to enjoy a drink in Brecon on a nice day. Brecon Tap. Local ales. Serves a menu of homemade pies. The Clarence. A locals pub that does cracking pub food. En route from the centre to the Regimental Museum. The Wellington. As BuilthJack says...avoid. If you want Footy on TV, it's The Siddons or The Rorkes. Neither do food but are full of 'friendly' locals.. Walking. From town centre, good river walks in either direction from the Usk river bridge. Walk or cycle along the canal to Tal y bont. (Good real ale pub at The Star Inn, Tal y bont) Hike the quieter route from the town centre to the summit of Pen y fan, down to Storey Arms.. and get the bus back to town. Museums. The Regimental museum is a must. It is due to relocate from the barracks to the town centre during 2020. Y Gaer, replaces the old museum and is a museum, library and cultural hub which is due to open in early December. There have been huge concerns locally regarding the massive overbudget spending on this project. I believe there is also an on site café. Y Gaer is located in the street behind the Wellington. I'm not sure where God's country is... but it certainly isn't 20 miles north of Brecon! |

Likewise. I’m flying out to Budapest tomorrow. Travelling alone and arriving late so thanks for the heads up. There was a load of Hungarian ultras, all in black tee shirts, on our campsite after Bordeaux in 2016, they were a right moody lot. Although I was in Budapest for the friendly in 2005ish and had no problems at all.. Looking forward to the next 4 days immensely though! ðŸºðŸºðŸº |
| Forum Thread | Paris. Last 16. Anyone got space for one? at 14:36 23 Jun 2016
Short notice I know but here's hoping.. Travelling back home at the moment. Writing this whilst onboard Santander to Plymouth ferry. I've done all the group games and have a voucher for Saturday's game but struggling to sort travel to Paris. I get home (Brecon) this evening and want to get back in time for a bit of pre match Saturday. If anyone has space for one, please pm. Will obviously share costs and don't mind sorting my own accommodation if an overnight trip. I'd of stayed on in France but have been travelling with my wife who has to be back at work tomorrow. |

I am also getting the Portsmouth Bilbao ferry and driving to Bordeaux. Stopping off in San Sebastian, where I stayed when Wales played a friendly against the Basque country a few years ago. A lovely place that I am looking forward to visiting again. I'll be travelling with my wife and young daughter so will camp on the coast near Bordeaux but stay in Bordeaux the day of the game. If I get a ticket for the Saes game I'll fly/train to Lens.. Staying in Lille or Paris.. Then travel back to Bordeaux to meet back up with family and drive down to Toulouse for the Russia game. Then back across the north coast of Spain for the Santander Plymouth ferry. If we progress I'll be looking at flying back out for one nighters. Cannot bloody wait for it!!! |
