He was criticised for holding the pre season behind closed doors and refusing to let Marti interview. Threads on here will attest to this.
This was in June / July when arguably his stock was at its highest. Definitely not true or fair to say this is related solely to performance on the pitch.
The points are valid either way. |

As you say, we all have different relationships with the club, but whatever your view I find 'I'm not fussed about knowing about all the goings on behind the scenes' really sad.
Personally this is the view I have of my internet provider or car insurance not my football club.
The hands off approach is what gave licence to some of the worst people to do terrible things to this club over the last few years.
They should be accountable to someone, why not those with the largest vested interest? ie the fans. [Post edited 30 Oct 10:40]

Well, like North says, it probably is meaningless in isolation and even less than that if we’re winning.
But we are not winning, the CEO is cheesing people off, and if we packed two keepers either through pettiness, a fck off to Kolli, or cock up (which are the only options I can see) then I think it’s worthy of discussion. [Post edited 29 Oct 17:28]

I meant with the squad rather than as a transfer, but isn’t the point the same?
I thought it was a shitty move when Redknapp did it, I thought it was a shitty move when Warburton did it, and just because I like Marti I’m not going to say it’s not a shitty move now.
I may be totally off the mark, and a very good bureaucratic reason for it exists, but as has been established in other threads Nourry either starves us of info or manipulates the little he releases.

So people knew at least on Friday afternoon. They should have had lads ready. If you was YTS/DS player (of any standard) with an opportunity to get on a bench for a Champ game would you make the effort to get to Burnley?
If you can prepare and register a keeper with 24 hours notice you can prepare a YTS/DS player. |
