From the horse's mouth so to speak: "As I said, I thought it was a wind up. I’ve heard nothing. I’ve probably not taken it as seriously as I should have. Someone sent me a screenshot saying I was having conversations and that my agent was talking to them. Don’t waste your money (betting on it). Absolutely nothing in it. I thought it was absurd. I’ve not only been here one year. We’ve only just secured Ben Cabango. Cullen and Allen are in the national team. I’m sorry if I didn’t take it seriously enough, but I thought it was quite funny. I’m glad it’s over and I want to make Swansea as good as they can possibly be. I was perhaps the last to know. I’m not on social media so I don’t have a big network. It’s all come as a bit of a shock. There’s been no contact whatsoever. So I'm not sure how it’s got to the level it got to with the bookmakers deciding I was halfway down the road. I did the interview after the Portsmouth game and went over to the Jack Army, who sang to us. It was the best feeling ever because you feel the love in your worst moment. And it’s the worst moment because you feel so terribly guilty (about the result). That moment summed up what we’re trying to do. We’re trying to be together with our fans. Show respect to them at all times. When they show it back it’s quite emotional. The combination of that and me being in the dark around the speculation about me leaving, it was quite emotional after the game". Williams |

Great article as always Keith. I feel that if the boardroom are not fully behind him and the players are struggling with his training techniques, he needs to be gone, whether that is through him going to WBA or us sacking him. We would need someone in quickly though, given that it's the transfer window. Club bigger than one man and all that (as we have proved time and time again). |

Keith, was reading through the thread and was wondering about Milleskog and you posted this. I really hope we can push this through. The right age, fit, transfer fee in my eye (£1.5 million was it)? From October, on a Swedish website, "Swansea have scouted Noel Milleskog on site in Sweden. According to FotbollDirekt, the Championship club is prepared to make a bid of around 22-25 million kronor for the 22-year-old striker" This is £1.5 to £1.8 million. Not much else to report as Sirius have recently departed from their manager and are in close season. They do say on their forum though: "We recruit smartly and sell expensively, record sales get adequate replacements and we can rightly call ourselves a stable Allsvenskan team". A beautiful pass to set up Johnson for the 3rd goal and held off the defender well for Wilson to pick up the ball and score with a lovely shot for the 4th too. |

Birmingham is just a bonkers case of owners splashing the cash wherever they can - we haven't spent £10 million it total. |

We've had a good transfer window IMO - the quality of the players we have brought in have been an upgrade on what we had. Franco, Eom, Vipotnik, Peart-Harris especially. Let's give some credit here. |

Captained his side at Reading. England youth caps, good enough for interest from Luton and signed for Olympiakos. Not sure what you were hoping for? |

If we signed three, then one of Pedersen / Tjoe-A-On, Watts and Thomas. Whilst we played well on Saturday, let's not kid ourselves as we are still way short of quality numbers and need to bring in a CB, AM / winger and striker. |

Giving Vigouroux one game before writing him off, are we? |

We need more numbers definitely but the quality is far better already of the signings we have made, notwithstanding Rushworth (although I am happy with Vigouroux). In: Vigouroux Eom Franco Vipotnik Out: Mykola Congreve Cotterill Yates Lowe Wood Placheta Ogbeta Walsh Paterson + the Loans I would say that the three outfield players signed are all better than those that have left. |
