A 170 seat majority, but with what % of the vote? Does any party really represent “the country” as a whole? |

Just curious - have you ever been personally responsible for employing people? |
| Forum Reply | The Budget at 22:22 30 Oct 2024
All I can tell you is that I’m in the process of setting up a business which could have been based in London. It is now almost certain that, as far as possible it will now be based overseas. Sad, but true. |

That was a dire performance from a dire manager. Even the budget tomorrow is going to be more fun than that, and that’s saying something! |

I’m sorry. I thought this thread was a ‘complete this sentence’ thing, as ‘in our manager..is a useless, narcissistic cvnt’. Or did I misunderstand the question? |

I doubt it would cost that much. In any event the way this halfwit is running things crowds will soon start to decline with a resultant loss in revenue (Ok, marginal I know). There certainly will be a major loss of revenue though when we go down and with this arrogant joker in charge, that is almost certainly going to happen. In short: Get rid of this deluded tvvat. TODAY. |
| Forum Reply | Desperate Tories - or tactical masterstroke? at 14:40 20 Oct 2024
Arf! Ironic isn’t it that the Tories could see the first black female leader whereas the others are way off. In any event, Kemi could probably do a better job as manager of Saints than Rylan! |

You are right, SR most likely are not for for purpose and I made the point they lack the financial muscle to be serious owners when they came in. The reality though is that they are immovable (short of a serious third party offer which doesn’t look likely) and we are stuck with them. Sadly, the longer term effect on me and my love affair with Saints could be terminal as a result so yes, I’d like them out. Meanwhile Martin is far from immovable and is by any reasonable measure failing. Blind faith in him turning it around doesn’t seem reasonable to me. An alternative manager, could however do that or of course fail, but I prefer those odds to sticking with a dogmatic narcissist who cannot see the wood for the trees. |

Where do you sit? From my seat in the Itchen north the Northam was quite loud at times whereas Leicester were some of the quietest away fans I’ve heard in a while… |

Delusional doesn’t even begin to cover it. He’s Like the General Staff in WW1, persisting with failed strategies no matter what the cost to others. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s here it for Russell Martin, aka Field Marshall Rylan Melchett, WAC (with bar)! |
| Forum Reply | Has he gone yet? at 10:41 20 Oct 2024
I counted at least three times in the first half when the centre half passed to Ramsdale followed by some tippy-tappy and an inevitable ‘turnover’ to Leicester. We just do not learn - Martin seems to have brainwashed the lot with his philosophy. That’s why I would welcome a sound, down to earth realist such as Potter instead. In short, taxi for Rylan! |

Whichever way you cut it he is well past his sell by date. The board need to make a move and now. How many other clubs with a 1 point out of 24 return would put up with this? That is a record of abject failure (how can anyone accept it?) and should be addressed before it really is too late. |
| Forum Reply | Our fans are shit at 00:37 20 Oct 2024
I agree. From the Itchen where I sit, the Northam was pretty loud throughout. I though the Leicester lot were docile until the second half when the ref (who might as well have been wearing a blue shirt) allowed then back into it. It’s a long 160 mile return drive for me having to stomach that, but considering the shit we’ve suffered I thought our fans did ok. |

It’s not the fault of one man, but it is the responsibility of one man - the manager. Our manager is not good enough. It’s as simple as that. One point is hapless by any reasonable standard. The board have got it wrong so many times recently + and I’ve never thought Martin is the answer. We scraped up last season - when any good manager should have achieved that with the squad we had. So yes, get rid and do what we can to get Potter in. I travel thousands of miles a season to see Saints so like you, I care. Watching this hapless narcissistic tvvat is unacceptable. We’ve had worse squads and done better. You really want to see this man in charge for the rest of the season? I don’t, and I’ve sat through incompetents such as Branfoot, Selles and Nathan Jones. There HAS to be someone better. |

The ghost of Alan Ball could do a better job…! |
| Forum Reply | Has he gone yet? at 18:16 19 Oct 2024
Talking to several Saints fans afterwards (none of whom I knew) not one of them had a good word to say about the man. So how many happy-clappy Wuss-ball wallies are there still? A few on here no doubt…? Come out, come out, wherever you are? [Post edited 19 Oct 18:16]
