I get the impression that some Dale fans (who use this forum) give you a hard time, but I wouldn't take it too personally. There's plenty of people on here who could start a fight in an empty room!

David Buchanan was doing the punditry for Radio Northants which was the commentary on my dodgy firestick. He's obviously from Rochdale and has seen a lot of our matches recently. Around the hour mark he made a very poignant comment when he said it looks as though the Rochdale players are just waiting to get beaten.
A sad reflection on our current dilemma. |

Even by our own recent standards, that was truly woeful defending.
The sad thing is , they aren't 3 goals better than us which is why I'm clinging to the faint hope that we might just improve enough to get a few results and somehow survive. |

Totally agree, but wouldn't it also be nice if we don't find this forum once again descending into the pre-Morton House environment of petty spats and bitchiness.

I had the opposite experience on Tuesday when entering the Sandy. My 15 year old lad was searched yet I wasn't. Then just behind me a bloke in probably his late 70s (apologies, Sir, if I'm wide of the mark) was fully searched and had to empty his pockets.
Obviously the knob who threw the flare hadn't been searched properly.
Inconsistency is still a big problem. |

Thank you very much! Although it doesn't directly say so in the Trust's statement, I'm sure we all owe yourselves and your trust more than a couple of pints for all your support and invaluable information about the wronguns we were fighting. It shows what can be achieved when the football community comes together, despite the piss poor support from those who are paid to protect our clubs (Shame on you EFL)

Clearly not everyone's preferred option if he is to be appointed, but what he also isn't is BBM or Stockdale who have put us in this mess. Having real experience of managing in the lower leagues, I would hope the Pep coaching manual of zonal marking and piss-arsing about at the back is thrown in the bin immediately. Given how that's how most of our goals seem to be conceded, we might be able to play higher up the pitch and actually create scoring opportunities.
Given yesterday's (much more important IMHO) announcement, it's clear the board have been spinning many plates recently. It would have been very easy to leave Stockdale in place whilst concentrating on other matters, but they acted and did the very difficult but correct thing of changing things. Whilst they may not be "football people" what we do know is they are fans, proper ones, and we need to back them and their judgement.
If Bentley is appointed, after being sacked by the blubbering Roger, where better than here to prove his worth? It will leave Roger turning in his, hopefully, soon to be dug grave. |

Agreed, despite the fact that when he joined the forum he was treated despicably by many of those who now back him. I'll never forget how he was viewed as some kind of interloper when the "Local Shop For Local People" mentality kicked in.

Real shame things didn't work out for him, met him a couple of times and is a genuinely decent fella. However, questionable recruitment and tactics/style of play not suited to a League 2 battle means he had to go. Credit to the board for acting quickly.
I wish him well and hope he has success somewhere in the future. |
