Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:00 - Dec 1 with 2092 views | FearOfAJackPlanet | Playing well, although we have to take into account that City would not be so content to sit back and let us play if they weren't a goal up, and I'm sure their manager will be inserting several rockets up their players arses at half-time to make sure it doesn't continue. That miss from JDG may be crucial.

Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:02 - Dec 1 with 1981 views | monmouth | Proud of us. After conceding such a sloppy early goal, City would have expected to run riot. Instead we've bossed most of the game, though obviously they have zillions of pounds of cutting edge. They'll come at us like ten bears after the break to try and get an early second. I hope we're up for it from the start. Of course we should be level but it's just not happening for us just now. We've been a second half team all season, but that first half was so good, I'm not sure we can do it again. Holding them to 75 minutes is essential.

Totally agree. Shelvey is playing great. Do we not practice corners at training?

Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:03 - Dec 1 with 1922 views | Bonjour | That's as well as we've played this season. Shame our keeper wants to give goal a game away at the moment and JDG is a lazy fooker really.
Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:04 - Dec 1 with 1902 views | Eddie | Tactics are spot on, JJS getting so much room , Citeh are too flat in midfield causing such space between there and defense. Very promising half, proud
Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:04 - Dec 1 with 1898 views | Drizzy | Staggered that people are sh*tting on de Guzman. His corners haven't been great and his miss was woeful but his play to create the chance was brilliant. Him and Shelvey are running rings around Yaya and Fernandinho.

Think Shelvey's "keeping them honest". He's doing such a good job putting them on the back foot that they're a little scared to start committing men forward themselves. Best we've seen from him so far by miles.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Beggars belief that some people want him in ahead of Vorm.

Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:07 - Dec 1 with 1756 views | Zut_Alors | It was a 1-0 loss at the Etihad that kick started our season last year. Another half like that and even if we don't get a result, it will still be hugely encouraging stuff going into two big games. Really enjoy watching Shelvey play when we're countering. He carries the ball forward very, very well. Fear that City will sort out the obvious imbalance in the middle, though.

Thin line between a great corner and a poor one - needs to vary it and move his @rse once he's delivered it though. Think the finish may taken a slight bobble - would have been a gem of a goal. Having a decent all round game - not surprised he's getting stick, he usually does...
Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:10 - Dec 1 with 1662 views | I_will_swan_you_up | Manager has got this right. Overloading the midfield. They are avarage and we should at least have scored one. The 3 points are sure for this match. Next
Manchester City v Swansea City Match Thread on 17:10 - Dec 1 with 1655 views | FearOfAJackPlanet | Can one of the Danes give TV3 a bell and tell them it's Ben Davies at left back and not Neil Taylor. Even after having the team-sheets and 45 mins of the game they're none the wiser. [Post edited 1 Dec 2013 17:12]
