Looks like they are gong to be using a similar cradle to that used to bring up the Mary Rose. Remember that event well, was late into school that day as I was mo interested in watching the raising of it rather than being baffled in 'A' level maths. Hasten to say within the month I was kicked UT of sixth form, by the guy who is now head of the British Olympic Rowing Association. At least one guy made a decent life for himself, the other one spent his time yelling from riverbanks at men in boats without an engine! |  |

no that was plan A
but after months even years of planning building it spending tens of thousands on it they have decided it wont work so now they are going to tie cables to the tail ,nose and engines and push a steel rod though the fuseage bit like a doctors finger up your rear end and lift it like that
like i say no chance of it working in my view | |

i know thats my usual tactic expect the worse
but in this case reading on avation threads they are all off a panic even in the cage they almost lost the mary rose ,this one thought is going to be pulled up and they are hoping that the airframe will hold the thing together even thought its over 70 years old alummium thats been croroded for 70 years by seas water and is full of sand
posponed till 1.30 am now due to high winds sadly i get the feeling that the budget has been spent and its going to be a case of grab what you can
The tug that passed in the night taking the sister crane to Chatham has now high tailed it back from Rotterdam to anchor on site.
