obvious wasn't there, but we keep conceding. We knew Ryan Edwards was going back on 2nd January from around August. Surely a forward thinking club would have had plans in place ready for 3rd January rather than this trying to sort it out now.

Let's forget any talk of Play Offs now, and let's not kid ourselves with only four points behind or whatever it will be. We pretty much need two points per game for the remainder of the season.

We've got six strikers on the books. The board can only provide the funds for the manager, he picks the players he wants. He has decided to accrue six forwards at the expense of other positions. It would be perfectly reasonable of the board to say to the manager 'no, not until you get rid of at least one of these forwards.' Instead, the manager has decided to sign one of these six on a longer-term deal.

Only what's going through your mind now, except it happened when we could see the bloody obvious.

Sorry, but there's no haters here, just realists.

I think that's the point; assessing the information we can all see. Nothing is improving and we aren't even bringing in players to address it. Yes, they may well come in eventually, but the areas for improving we're identified weeks ago, the work should have been done by the club to ensure the players were here for the first game after the window opened.

we are VERY LUCKY to have got so many points early on from our (then) good away form, we could have been in the bottom 3 otherwise.

But the manager and the club should have ensured deals were in place so that one of those strikers was on his way on Jan 1st.

They shouldn't have approved the Gornell deal.

Only if we buy one that doubles up as a pitch cover.

I wouldn't be surprised if the original budget was ripped up and stuffed in the war chest as a result of the decimation of home attendances.

Shaping up to be a disastrous season for future generations, in my opinion.

Best signing we could make would be Flicker - Coleman imho is the worst performing manager in my living memory!!!

He had the potential to have a good side - but has buggered it up in a big way.

Hollins, Barrow, Simmo etc were poor with decent money, Dolan, D.B., Sutton, Doherty, Vic Halom were ok with no money.

I would sooner we lost and Coleman went now than we won and he stayed - May as well waste next season as well if he stays!!!!

Tell tale signs were there in the first half. Two sitters missed by them and one of them was a major Pedwards misjudgement. Thought we played OK second half and were the better team by a mile. Two sloppy goals defensively, especially the second one. Should have been a comfortably seen out 1-0 win. Our defense is so prone to imploding it's unbelievable.

Beginning to think that the Hillcroft years were part of some Faustian pact, and it's been payback ever since they left.

That was the point I was sort of making. However, it is down to the manager to say who he wants to bring in or get rid of. It's up to the board to try and make it happen. The manager has proved, with Puterill and Craney, that he isn't willing to get rid of players no matter how unfit they are.

You're right though, the manager should have realised that a centre half was the priority and not gone for Gornell. As he hasn't realised that, the board should have not approved the Gornell deal.

Am I correct in thinking that our best run of wins came earlier in the season when cAV was injured. When is j.c. going to start picking his best 11, i.e. not necessarily scouse speakers. I have been watching Dale for over 60 years and am now considering giving up my season ticket. The Trafford Centre beckons. Any chance the Trust can organise a walk to raise funds towards paying off these clowns. Even me with a gammy leg would have a go. You don't write such comments when you've been supporting Dale through thick and thin since 1948. Unless we get a couple of wins in the next two games we are deep in the doodoo. Saturdays are tur d days and Dalewise have become tiresome and not a good reason to have a hangover on Sunday. During the week I cannot be bothered to watch the match highlights. After 60 years I am deeply offended. Oh and by the way I was happy at the appointment of j.c.

Cav is far from being the problem at the moment. To single him out is pretty laughable.

He had a terrific run during the festive calendar. My eyes are looking at blue eyed boy rhys and P edwards.

The best run of results came with Cav out of the team.

It's the whole defence - we haven't had a settled back 4 all season. Lillis has been the only constant. It's clear Coleman has no idea how to organise a defence properly.

The sooner Coleman gets a decent defender in the better. The goals are coming straight through our middle soft under belly. Some hard wheeling and dealing needs to be done to get the right man in. The next signing will be crucial.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.
