Injury Updates 17:03 - Nov 20 with 9510 views | slmrstid | Just appeared on the Facebook... "An update on our injured lads đ¤ During this international break, the club would like to provide supporters with an update on our injured players. Over the course of recent weeks, the team have endured a number of injury challenges. Liam Morrison and Harrison Ashby have already made successful returns and the club are pleased to confirm, subject to continuing on their current rehabilitation path, Joe Walsh, Morgan Fox and Kenneth Paal are set to be available for selection when QPR host Stoke City at MATRADE Loftus Road this Saturday. Jack Colback is on course to be available for selection in November while Michael Frey is anticipated to be available within two weeks. Jake Clarke-Salter is anticipated to return to the first team in the first half of December. Ilias Chair, who came off during our home fixture against Middlesbrough with a knee injury, is also expected to be available for selection in the first half of December. Kader Dembele, however, faces a period of time on the sidelines following knee surgery. Subject to a successful rehabilitation, the club is hopeful he will be in a position to return to the pitch in February 2025. The 21-year-old hasnât featured since our 1-1 home draw with Coventry City on October 22nd. Director of Performance Ben Williams said: âThere is no doubt this is a challenging period. âThis season, very unusually, 70% of our time-loss injuries have been due to non-preventable impact and contact injuries. "The performance team we have built continue to work incredibly hard at our elite training ground to provide the best player availability possible. âAs previously reported elsewhere, due to a change in my personal circumstances, I am continuing my role with the club on a more remote basis but remain committed in helping deliver long-term success for QPR. âThis is being achieved with the support of Michael Main, our Head of Performance Services, and a team I have worked closely with over a number of months. âThey are based at the training ground on a daily basis and implementing the key strategies which helped the club achieve such high player availability last season.â Edit - and the website link - https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2024/november/20/medical-injury-update-/ [Post edited 20 Nov 17:03]

Yeh I've taken the fluff at the bottom as basically an attempt to clarify the situation with BW once and for all. Whether we're getting value paying for a DOP to work via Zoom from somewhere else in the world is another debate.

Very kind of them to do us supporters a favour that they 'liked' sharing this with us, i have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it has nothing to do with recent fan frustration and dissent.

Well if this is basically a tacit admission that the coms strategy under Nourry has been complete bolox from the start and they've realised that and will now try and unwind it then that's good news.

Surely proof positive they have feelers out on this board and other fan hubs. A direct reaction to the criticism. Good to see. Although the injury list isn't. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Look at the immediate reaction around socials and stuff though - it's mostly 'ooooh they're talking to us' not 'oh our squad is completely fcked'. That says something in itself.
Injury Updates on 17:36 - Nov 20 with 3801 views | LazyFan | So apart from JCS the defence is back, which is needed for down the left. This means Field can partner Varane in the middle, and Saito can now play on the wing properly. So, our middle is back as well. Let's see what difference that makes against Stoke, which is a must-win game in my view.

Yeah I was actually pleasantly surprised by the update. Morrison can partner Cook, and Paal we now have an actual left back. This means Dunne at right back and almost our first choice back 4. And as you say Field can then move to partner Varane. And Saito move further forward. Donât want to think about the other positions though.

what this does is buy them support on Saturday imo, no more bollox that Frey might be back or JCS is on the grass we know it's bare bones and that the team needs us so I genuinely think revealing this stuff will actually help the atmosphere at the weekend. Saying all that god knows how we win a game of professional football with what we have left

Agree. And also what's happening atm is we all go towards Saturday and spend the day thinking "well if JCS/Colback/Chair/Frey is back then we might have a chance". Then the team comes out at 2pm and there's this collective disappointment and frustration all over again. I mean you literally heard it in the Crown last home game when it came out and JCS was missing again. Groan, lots of "for fcks sake" lots of people shouting back and forth. It's expectation management.

Self Preservation by Nourry, just trying to buy himself time, Reads this Forum, very reasonably called out on disrespectful lacks of comms, Arrogantly ignores until it's in his self interest, Taking the fans for mugs.
