After all the doom and gloom following Tuesday' s result, something to raise the spirits!

An amazing stat from back in time when we were actually good!

It is hard to believe, but QPR hold the record for the best goals per game ratio in the history of UEFA club competions - since ever!

39 goals in 12 games at an average of 3.25 a game!

Those were the days!!!

(You can listen to this between minutes 53.46 and 56.22 of the podcast)

For the record this is our how we achieved the best goals pe game ratio in European competition.

1976–77 UEFA Cup
First round Norway SK Brann won 4–0 (H), won 0–7 (A)
Second round Czechoslovakia ŠK Slovan Bratislava drew 3–3 (A), won 5–2 (H)
Third round West Germany 1.FC Köln won 3–0 (H) lost 1–4 (A) won on away goals Quarter-finals Greece AEK Athens won 3–0 (H), 0–3 (A) Lost on penalties

1984–85 UEFA Cup First Round Iceland Reykjavik won 0-3 (A) won 4–0 (H) Second Round Yugoslavia FK Partizan Belgrade won 6–2 (H), lost 0-4 (A)* *went out on away goals rule.

No problem scoring goals in those days!

Oh I wish we could go back in time and bring one of our strikers in today's team.
