Dropped by Portsmouth in favour of Dozzel. Pompey fans not happy. All action midfielder, bags of experience, the total opposite of Madsen. Free agent š
27, fair amount of experience and 37 Wales caps but canāt find a club. Something odd there unless heās injured. Similar vibe to Kakay I guess.
He was injured but has recovered. Contract was not renewed because Dozzel had been signed in the meantime. A choice between action man and non-action man. Fans not happy

I was thinking that his story is very similar to when Martin Rowlands was released by Brentford after breaking his leg. We are no strangers to taking a punt on players who have just recovered from injury.
Asked a Welsh mate, decent pro, decent bloke too. Good top half league 1 player. A lot of clubs put off at the moment because even with his injury recovery, he's admitted himself he's a couple of months away from being able to play.
As for us, Field, Varane, Madsen, Colback, Morgan, Aoraha, Tuck. All ours if we want to use them,

I remember John Gregory used to call them "midweek internationals" - great in training, then rubbish on a matchday.
Pretty sure it was a barbed comment at those mad Gianni Paladini signings of Egutu Oliseh, Adam Czerkas, Marcin Kus etc...
Hamalainen was apparently king of this.
Every new manager that came in saw him in training, when he was being a "baller" with all his little mates, and couldn't believe he hadn't been playing. So they'd play him, and quickly find out.
