Personally, I found that completely bewildering and professionally unacceptable from Cifuentes. Assuming Dembele, Fox and Kolli weren't all injured - though who knows these days when a reported blackhead could keep any one of our players out for weeks - if I were the board, I'd be having a word on Monday morning. That was a load of turd!

If you know you’re carrying two potentially injured players in your travelling squad you surely add another outfielder to the travelling party? (Who I don’t know as Kolli sadly appears finished at this club)

I buy it. Don't think Marti is lying direct to supporters. I don't see he has any reason to on something like this either. That 1 player drops out the morning of an away game feeling sick or with a niggle is fairly usual, but 2 less so. | | | |

After initially being confused about the team news bench scenario, I put this on the match thread at 14.24 yesterday.
Perhaps, we have travelled north with 22 players, including three keepers. Dembele and Fox have dropped out through sickness or injury and we have put Shepherd on the bench, as there is a spare seat.
Didn't take long to rationalise the situation instead of losing it and going off on conspiracy theories. There may be problems at the club, as there is at most, but this isn't one of them.
The only alternative is to travel north with more players but you will increase costs and end up with more pi**ed off players travelling and not even making the bench. | | | |

Perhaps we travelled on Friday morning & the injuries happened when we trained in the Burnley area? I've not seen anything to sugest anything happened prior to heading north.
I think the development tean played on Thursday & so they probably would not have been considered for travelling to Burnley.
If this is not the case, then we should certainly have taken at least one extra outfield player. | | | |

They woke up on Saturday worse than they were on Friday.
Anyway, does it really matter that much that we had to choose five from six, rather than five from seven and it seems as if it happens to others too.

It seems that the specifics are missing. We don't know exactly when the tram travelled up, when players felt their injuries etc but despite this so many people prefer to start a potential conspiracy behind the scenes. According to some, our players are going down with the slightest knock and Martí is making a point.
