Turfed over once Moor - Burnley Match Fred 07:57 - Oct 25 with 36588 views | davman | I will be there. Mad, eh? Expecting nothing at all, but hoping that sh1tty Scotty Parker only wants to win 1-0 or 2-0 at worst. Last time I was there Rowan Vine scored my all time fave QPR goal running the length of the pitch to shoot into an empty goal because Gabor Kiraly with his baggy jogging bottoms was up for a last minute corner to try to equalise. No Frey bad, no Colback bad, no Paal - hooray! Just dreading the next "minor" calf problem to be announced with the team news. 2-0 them. Promise from us, but ultimately huff and puff with no attacking threat whatsoever. The football will ruin a good weekend away as per...

Turfed over once Moor - Burnley Match Fred on 17:44 - Oct 26 by dutch | we defended well as a team, something we haven't done all season. And it was away to a top two team. Come on, take small pleasures, acknowledge improvement, accept that was a good point and we build from here. Or else you might as well not bother bothering |
The back 3 were immense, but the lack of quality from the front four will be our undoing. We concede possession so easily it beggars belief.

Huh? What? He was dog turd like they all are. Missed a Dunne handball in our box and ignored GBH on Saito, Smyth and Lloyd. Useless.

Cook seems to relish those games.where we're essentially defending the box like it's the Alamo for 90 minutes

You need players like that in a side. A combination of some hairy bollocks and some ballers. We have lots of soft, naive ballers, and not enough hairy bollocks. Neither is more valuable than the other in football. You need a balance.

Its been a long time since I watched QPR players just blindly boot the ball upfield when they knew there was none of our players up there .I know we were under savage pressure but ffs try and hold it a bit.Ironically I was calling for us to boot it upfield earlier this week but I meant when it was bouncing around our box and we keep letting in goals We had a couple of chances to get in behind/stretch them late in that game but nobody could find the composure to release the killer pass. Still this is an excellent point away playing a top team so it might be the kickstart we need hopefully.

Which is why when you off Madsen, Paal and Anderson from the team the battle count goes up. Amazing defensive show, but very, very little going forward. That said, if the ref was half competent and gave us free kicks for the fouls on Saito, Lloyd and Smyth, we may have created something. However, judging by the Cov game a set piece going into their area may well have been another chance for them! Morning thoughts after the game are that there is a chasm between the Prem and Burnley and another one between them and us. A great defensive display, but no threat going forward whatsoever. A decent QPR team (which this one is not) would have taken them to the cleaners. An unexpected point, but the next two games are at home and we'll need to attack a bit more.

This. If those three started yesterday we would’ve lost the game.

He really was quality. One of his covering tackles in the second half in particular was astonishing. Agree, that's a 9. 'Richard Dunne at Wembley' level.

Turfed over once Moor - Burnley Match Fred on 11:21 - Oct 27 with 802 views | BklynRanger | Agree with the Cook comments. Also I think having JCS back was as important as anything they worked on all week. He's a great defender on his own when fit, partners well with Cook, and allowed Jimmy to go back to the position he's better at, which had us more solid. Once he's up to speed I hope to see a few more of those balls up the middle that seems to have a profound impact on changing things up. The forwards also need to work on what to do when that happens but at least you've got someone in there again who can do that. He seems to be the only one which is a bit worrying, not sure if Morrison is thought of as having similar passing ability. I thought Ashby was decent at LB too. Shades of Ossie K playing better there than on his natural side.
Turfed over once Moor - Burnley Match Fred on 11:22 - Oct 27 with 799 views | baz_qpr | Like anything its balance. We've had too many players of a type on the park for the beginning of this season, but when you have none of them you are going to struggle at the other end especially if you dont have Pace / Power up front. We needed that yesterday and that gives us a foundation to build on, but we will need some of the other going the other way to win games. It's very rare you get an Ale Faurlin that does both sides really well. 4 technicians and 1 bruiser centre forward was too much and now we dont have the bruiser. When we think back to the Warnock team we rarely had more than 3 on the pitch Faurlin, Tarrabt and Routledge and two of those were extra special. But let's not forget the contribution the likes of Mackie and Hogan made by being workers further forward.
