Is he just a dud or not interested, Lloyd looked much more up for it when he came on.

A few things PRR......

The Club (whoever that is) decided that the money offered for Dykes was too much to refuse and, perhaps, Celar was a better option than Dykes for the cost (or future) or that Dykes was not upto Championship level. Who knows??

As it happens, Celar has not played anywhere near to the required level, improved yesterday but still lacking a lot of things.

Agree, but saw a few positive signs in the 2nd Half yesterday that Celar could be part of an effective and mobile 4 man attack, lets hope.

I liked Varane from the off but did'nt see such a big step-up in performance coming from him yesterday so hoping Celar can similarly improve again on Tuesday night.

Think Celar will benefit from us playing the 433 formation we did yesterday. He isn't equipped to play the same lone striker role that Frey can.

But he has just got to be more aggressive with everything he does imo. A ball curled into the box after 5 minutes by Madsen, and he is ambling in after it rather than busting his bolx to get on the end of it. A ball played in near post in the second half and he's got to be doing everything he can to get in front of the defender, but hardly a flicker of interest. God knows how many times a ball played to a Sunderland CB on the deck where it was begging for him to get in and make a challenge and at the very least put his mark on the oppo.

Never known a striker who was any good that was "nice".

Interesting you mention Dunne - twice yesterday balls were put in Celar’s head in great positions and Dunne jumped over him to miss both…

He should have jumped first. Does he want to score or not?

The apparent lack of desire or killer instinct to get on the end of things is what grinds the most.

He doesn’t attack space.

NB: No need to cleanse the LFW website with fire, the pic is from his Parma days.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

he was better yesterday but that miss in the first half was dreadful, I thought at the time the keeper saved it but he got his feet all wrong and made a mess of it

Last season was the exception to the rule. Getting 25 games out of him would be about par. Legs made of Quavers.

Contract banked on best ever season of appearances (even then only 29 starts). Classic.

Thought that shot second half was in yesterday.

He seemed a bit more up for it and effective after they'd tried to break his leg. Maybe somebody can give him a slap before we go out next time.

There will be a queue around the block for that privilege.

Completely agree, a dreadful miss in the first half. He just doesn’t seem to have the desire, willingness or ability to influence a game. Far too often yesterday he ducked out of a challenge in the air and on the floor, his touch is woeful very rarely finding a teammate.
I hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t see a championship level player?

Does seem ‘strange’ that both of those jingle jangle ‘look how happy you should be’ player announcements from the fans ‘lecture’ have gone south very quickly.
