New kit? 09:24 - Jul 23 with 13020 views | DaleDamo | Hi all, does anyone have any idea of which kit won the design and when released?
New kit? on 10:34 - Jul 23 with 8766 views | Bainesy15 | This was said in the Commercial update on 13th July: I know a number of fans have asked about the release dates for our home, away and third kits for this season and we can communicate an update on timings. O’Neill’s have worked in great partnership with us to turn around production within a short lead time for both playing kit and retail shirts, meaning home kits are due to arrive at the Club Shop later this month, followed by our away and third kits in August. Additional retail lines have been added to extend our range including custom Rochdale AFC footballs, bobble hats, beanie hats and Christmas jumpers, which arrive later in the year. Exact on sale dates are still to be confirmed, but we expect the 2024/25 home kit will be available to buy in the Club Shop for our first home friendly versus Carlisle United on 27th July, and online the week after. Release dates for the away and third kit will need to follow our playing schedule and will be communicated in due course.

Likely due to the short lead time O'Neills have been given to work with...
New kit? on 18:02 - Jul 25 with 7772 views | 442Dale | https://rochdaleafc.co.uk/training-leisurewear-on-sale-now/ Kit arrival date delayed but sounds like we’ll see what it looks like next week. Yes, there are probably a million and one things to sort but explaining delays isn’t hard. There’s probably valid reasons, so communicate it. We could have seen the winning design ages ago as well. The training wear is so bland and last season’s at least had a few interesting design features. It’s got to stand out to make someone buy a training shirt as well as/instead of a match shirt. Fully expect all these things to improve from the status quo once the new regime identify the repetitive mistakes made that have just been accepted over the years.

Looking at the Dale twitter account it appears the new kit will be revealed at 1pm today.

The best of the bad bunch that made the final four in my opinion, hope the away and 3rd shirt options are more inspiring.

I'm sorry but that's bloody awful. Looks like a snide Adidas shirt with the two stripe thing going on. Where are our black and blue stripes. I don't wear them personally so won't affect me but the design will surely hinder sales.
New kit? on 13:21 - Jul 31 with 6796 views | Brierls | By far the best option of what made it to the final four. I think it looks really good tbf.
New kit? on 13:26 - Jul 31 with 6760 views | TomRAFC | Love it. Retro feel from the stripes/collar but keeping the recent trend of the abstract design on the front. Should actually be decent quality coming from O'Neills too.

Might look alright to people that show a blatant disregard to how many stripes they're wearing at any given time.

Well my eleven year old son who will get a shirt think it looks smart, the best kit we have had. So given target audiences ie people who will buy a kit and people who won’t I guess the club have got it right.

Fair enough. Just looks a bit tacky to me but who am I to judge in no fashion icon

I wouldn't be so sure. The feedback on Twitter is overwhelmingly positive. I think it's quite nice without being excellent, but I think it'll sell well.
New kit? on 13:55 - Jul 31 with 6573 views | Cedar_Room | the quality looks decent but I just don't get why this design was chosen by the majority. I liked the idea of us wearing blue and black stripes as a nod to integrating the centenary kit (which was a beauty) and our traditional blue colours. I felt like it was a way to give the club a unique identity, when there are countless other clubs who wear a similar blue/white like we used to. However, since the blue/black was brought in we've had 9 seasons of stripes, 3 of black pinstripes and 4 (now 5) with predominantly blue with black/white elements. I don't feel like we are sticking enough to a visual identity. Most other clubs who wear stripes will every so often mix it up with a variation of the stripe, but for us it seems we have abandon the conventional stripes just as often as we've kept them. I'm not blaming O'Neills here as they've gone off the public vote - I just don't get what's motivating other fans to keep switching it up like this.

I'm very much a blue/black stripes guy, but my favourite shirt in the 'group' voting was the Croatia-esque shirt. Blue/Black/White is the identity. I'd want blue/black stripes most of the time, but it's good to mix things up occasionally.
New kit? on 15:08 - Jul 31 with 6308 views | wozzrafc | At the end of the day this is the shirt choose, and in the whole it has been well received. As briers says there’s nothing wrong trying something slightly different and we can revert back to black and blue stripes

That’s it, the colours are our identity. We were the only club to have blue/black/white in the Football League, now we’re the only one in the top five divisions. Edit: Sheffield Wednesday have now gone back to black shorts and socks. They always look better with black shorts as part of their kit but they are very inconsistent with using it as a third colour so they don’t count. Neither do Gillingham who have forgotten black for a couple of years now. There has only been one season in the last 17 when those three colours haven’t been in our home strip (15/16 which was a big mistake and inexplicably justified by the club). We should be proud of that. Having stripes every year at our level will affect sales too. The 18/19 and 19/20 strips were not noticeably different enough to ensure sales were good. There’s so much we can do with our blue/black/white, Bradford have shown that with their unique colours too. If we did the’Croatia’ or halves or hoops it would lead to something further unique and would undoubtedly sell as well. [Post edited 31 Jul 16:01]

New kit? on 15:44 - Jul 31 with 6159 views | ramsdale | I had a question put to me a couple of seasons ago by a mate about the stripes and how we seemingly just added them to our kits for no real reason. We've had them periodically throughout history, including the centenary which I get, but there's no rationale as to why we have had them for 7 of the last 10 years. I grew up and have the nostalgia of the Carcraft/Keytech kits, hardly any of which had stripes and I think are the most attractive for fans of my era. The stripes really limit the design and with the big black stripes the Crown Oil sponsor in red looks abysmal, so whilst it wasn't my first choice, I'm happy we've moved away from the same design season in, season out.
New kit? on 16:16 - Jul 31 with 6071 views | blackdogblue | I know it’s sponsorship but the Red Crown Oil to me looks awful on it… For me, would have been better as a training top as that is what I tend to spend money on buying 2/3 a year and O’Niels are a damn sight better quality than Errea & the Fila crap that fell apart at the sign of a dryer or an iron… Would I buy one? Yes if they did a sponsor less one otherwise no… What we don’t see is the % of votes for A/B/C/D etc or how many people were actually arsed to vote as no prize I don’t think…
