One thing evident from the highlight real was he was banging them in right AND left foot, a two-footed player you say? Love to see it.
Something that’s always baffled me about top level professional footballers is their often absolute reliance on one foot. Whole team moves break down (or not even start) just because a player is not confident enough to use their left peg to play an easy ball forward, instead plays a safe backward right footed pass and the move is dead. Then there’s that outside of the foot cross, fancy, but is the outcome any better than if you just used the proper foot? Don't get me started on the Rabona..
I mean it’s not like they’re an octopus or spider with 8 legs where maybe that 4th one on the left is a little bit rusty, they’ve got TWO! Playing football is their chosen craft since childhood, the one thing they’ve always done, by 18 they’ve likely put in +5,000 hours of practice.. and still.
My take from. Those highlights is how often he sneaks in behind the central defenders intelligently, controls the ball and finishes. We've not had that for a while. And certainly not from Armstrong.
What the highlights dont show is how many times he goes to early and is offside. It's a narrow margin sometimes...
Firstly and potentially we sell a player whose scored 4 goals in 60+ games and get in a striker whose scored 40 in 90 odd games, albeit in the Swiss league but...
I like Nourry, what he does and what he says more every day. well done our board.
So let’s get this right. We have sold a 21 year old who has a goal to game ratio of about 21 who is fast, strong, too often offside, too often fouls the opposition and quite frankly can’t trap a wet bag of cement for £2.5million plus add ons and also a sell on fee for a forward who is 25 scored 45 goals in the last three years in a league that must be equivalent to the Championship in quality, plays for his country, and did so at the recent Euros for £1.5million. Sounds fair enough to me. 😂
