Last game of the season 12:17 - Dec 11 with 3197 views | PeterHucker | Usually the last game of the Championship season is on Sunday. But this year all the games seem to be happening on a Saturday at 3pm including our away game at Coventry. Does anyone know why? And is it likely to change?

Wouldn’t have been at all bothered that the Play Off final coincides with my big 60th birthday jolly until a few days ago. It’s fated now.

On the EFL website (I know) on the day of fixture release, they specifically say the final games WILL be 3pm. I presume even with some 3pm Premier games that day, there'll still be the usual 2 live Championship games on Sky. Would be good to take a third successive massive following to Cov that day regardless .

There is a ban on 3pm Saturday kick offs being televised. So something has to change. Why not make them all 5.30pm? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Well that means none of them will be on TV then, which seems unlikely. Unless for some reason the Saturday 3pm rule is being suspended that day. It's Leeds v Southampton on the last day, if the winner gets automatic promotion and the loser has to go in the play-offs I suspect Sky might quite fancy a piece of that, given that they spend the rest of the season showing everything from Leeds U18s set piece training up. Maybe I'm missing something.
