Gwyn if you don't need "tempo" music to encourage you, my preference is revisiting classic albums of the 60s, 70s and 80s. I find I just drift back in time and the memories of when I was so much fitter.

The other thing I do if you're on a cardio machine for a while is find a live performance on YouTube, I often watch/listen to Muse in Rome. Usually loads available.

I just pick up on a song I hear on the radio and think I haven't heard them for a while and download an album. Last week it was Creedence Clearwater Revival and Men at Work. Today I heard the Cure and will probably add that. Some of the lads just use YouTube when on the treadmill.
Get one of those driving CD’s, various artists with lots of upbeat tunes, some old Motown, I’m thinking Heatwave, Jimmy Mac, Needle in a Haystack etc. What about aBsome early rock and roll, I’m thinking a few Eddie Cochran songs, Cmon Everybody, Something Else, Summertime Blues, Buddy Holly’s Rave On and Early in the Morning, Chuck Berry - Johnny B Goode (plus many others) and Little Richard Long Tall Sally and Tutti Frutti.
Some other energetic singles Hollywood Nights Bob Seger Run for home - Lindisfarne Keep on Chooglin, Creedence Clearwater Revival Up around the Bend Creedence Ca plane pour moi Plastic Bertrand London Calling The Clash Babylon is Burning The Ruts Since you’ve been gone Rainbow Milk and Alcohol Dr Feelgood Down at the Doctors Dr Feelgood Back in the Night Dr Feelgood
Albums - some of the above have great albums, if you want a greatest hits type recommendation try Chronicle Vol1 by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

What about Chris Rea's driving home for Christmas tract
Tend to find that a bit of Reuben works well for me in the Gym. Gets the blood pumping...
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Coincidentally I've l just listened to the Cure on You tube whilst doing nothing more strenuous as painting a ceiling , a great source for all types of music for what ever you wish to listen to

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

This may sound counterintuitive but I've started listening to classical music whilst running, today I listened to Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, I found it surprisingly good to run to as the countryside went past. (PS this is an entry for the most pretentious post of the year)
My School Music teacher back in the day had the old Record Player .
Brought into our classroom vinyl of Pictures of an Exhibition , Gustav Holst The Planets and Vivaldis Four Seasons , many of the class were totally bored , I enjoyed listening .
About that time I mentioned to him ELP had done a Prog Rock cover version of the music . I already had the LP . Few days later he said to me he had got a copy and listened , thought it was brilliant .
Some old You Tube videos about showing ELP performing , not everyones go to views . I still dig them up on occasions .
