Swansea city centre on 09:23 - May 21 by BryanSwan | I see the usual crowd that shout down and call everyone with a different view an idiot or something similar are back. I would add that 7,000 if figures are accurate attending an event such as this is quite impressive. |
Yes this site has become a very inward looking place, if you have a different opinion you are seem as someone evil. Very sad and worrying. But we must look at the positives 6 to 7 thousand is a decent turnout and yesterday was a positve day.

Swansea city centre on 09:41 - May 21 by Togg | 7000 wow! In a city the size of Swansea and the surrounding area. Marching for something which would be seismic shift in our constitution and which the majority of Welsh voters are against. However you are entitled to your opinion, just as others are entitled to theres. |
Thanks for a more polite response. The question is what % of people that agree with something would attend an event like this? I suppose i would be favourable to some kind of independence or some steep reform of UK devolved powers, but I've never been to such and event and probably wouldn't. Id assume many people are the same, which does make the 7,000 a good turnout.

I don't pillar people who don't want independence, I would rather keep to the positives. My god we need positives atm with the state of the UK atm.

The idea that the same politicians who have presided over Wales doing worse than anywhere else in the UK in just about every area that matters over the last 25 years need to be given even more power and responsibility should horrify anyone with even a modicum of sense. A couple of thousand turkeys voted for Christmas yesterday. Nothing more than that.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

With respect I was in Town yesterday and 7000 is vastly exaggerated, maybe 2000 at a push, which the vast majority were shipped in. I can't see under any circumstances that Swansea would ever vote for independence

Swansea city centre on 10:52 - May 21 with 995 views | builthjack | A good turn out. Lots of buses stopped in Llandrindod and Builth on the way down. The Yes brigade are getting bigger. A long way to go though. The anti Welsh are out in force on here again I see.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I'm certainly not anti Welsh. Anti independence definitely. A lot consider themselves Welsh British or British Welsh. Nothing wrong with that. Just like a Catalonian or Basque might be a Spanish Catalonia or Basque.

This is what does my swede in. If you don’t want independence or even want to speak Welsh, then you are Anti. It’s so puerile. It’s 2023 now yet we have still not learned . It will not happen because people will not allow it no matter how many marches with bespoke banners are infurled. I would add that many indies are anti English reading their narrative. We play football in an English system as the Welsh is ,well, rather laughable ,proven when TNS get smashed in the preliminary stages of EUFA cups. We discourse in English on this site. The “ ordinary working bloke” I would suggest isn’t wanting it either.

Why should the majority march for something they already have ? Most would probably spend a nice sunny Saturday afternoon with their friends and family. I know I would.

The yoons who hold the majority, the duplicitous couple Sturgeon and hubby have put independence off the table. Watch this space, a lot more dirt to be uncovered, perhaps its under the motorhome

And the exact same applies to many Indy supporters who have work, caring commitments, and/or other very valid reasons for not making it to any particular event. Thank you for making my point for me. 6,000 is an excellent turn out. ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿

The English system is professional. The Welsh system is semi-professional. After a free Scotland and a united Ireland, then we will really see what Wales wants.

Even more disappointing turnout then, thought it was a Swansea event but the whole of Wales and the police reckon there was about 2 - 3k there. Not exactly a resounding endorsement then, not expecting you to admit that, but deep down you must be a little disappointed.
