The more Monk bedded his system in the slower our play got and the less effective Gomis became. His track record before and since certainly suggests that the problem was never with the player.
Unfortunately he fell foul of something that happens too often with too many Swans fans. They're far more interested in slagging a player off rather than wondering why he might be struggling. He became almost a joke in some parts for reasons that were never his fault. | |
