He came on yesterday and looked pretty sharp, making a couple of runs in between Centre halves but as usual yesterday we just didn't release the ball quickly enough. He won't be offside if ball is played quickly, just like the opposition did.

There was a situation where he ran in behind calling for the ball from a throw in but McCullum didn't even look ahead and was looking only to throw it backwards. On another matter, what's happened to Sam’s long throw?

He still looks a bit arse heavy, as seen when he sat on Thomson’s leg, but he ended up playing with his back to goal when really that should be Dykes role so he can run on to any lay off. Think we need to play one up front which doesn’t really suit Gray at all. There are a few unsolvable issues at present and you’re starting to sense that in the players demeanour towards each other.

Dykes also made a couple of runs early on that the CB's and Midfield do not look for. They appear to be so well schooled in going side to side keeping the ball that these are missed opportunities. Another area where De Wijs would help over Dunne.

| It's being so happy that keeps me going. |

Have you considered his "heavy arse" may be hereditary

A lot of fans scream at him 'get onside'! And I think - he would be onside if we played the ball at the right time, rather than waiting til he's run past the last defender.
