Having voted against it recently, apparently this is back on the agenda already. The big clubs want 5 subs but the smaller clubs feel that it will benefit the big clubs with deeper squads and voted against it before.
Thoughts?
Personally I think it is fine as it is but would bring in a rule that says no substitutes can be made in the last 5 minutes (apart from goalkeepers) to stop managers slowing the game down at the end.
It's all part of the tactical nous of the manager for a start, not just making use of a massive squad to make sure he can keep his players happy by giving them a few minutes game time
Having 5 subs would work but with one additional rule. Two must be for injured players during the game after the 3 subs have been used. Adding proviso that any such player injured and replaced is barred from next game.
