Don’t know if has been posted before, but Sky have said that you are able to pause your Sky Sports subscription and not be charged a fee or held to any notice period. Check this on Sky.com

Huge queues to phone Sky as people have been too busy emptying supermarket shelves to phone before now.


So, the reason for so much bog roll buying is the long wait on the phone for sky to answer?
Its all making sense now. THIS IS a conspiracy.

Ignore that not answering phones and billing message, stay on the line, I had that message, I had the hour wait message a few times, (I was clued what was likely to happen and it did happen the way I was clued - hope you have the same experience if you want to knock the sport on the head as well), after 5 or could be 10 mins of automation (a recorded voice asking me why I'm ringing etc), the phone rings and was basically picked up straight away, 30 seconds I would say, a minute tops and that's it.


That's why I put the 0800 number on - I spoke to them relating to billing on Saturday, no problem at all. BTW my sport is through IPTV.

Can't be changed on-line, have to phone them up.

Use the free number of 0800 151 2747 rather than the regular number as if over an hour on the land-line, you'll be charged for the whole call. (assuming you have free calls up to 60 minutes)

*Huge queues to get through as a lot less staff on the phones*


My sister rang and during the inevitable queue it stated that Sky Sports could be paused online as from tomorrow, Friday. Also anyone with Sky broadband,talk and mobile check your emails, they are giving existing customers “extras” foc for a while.

If you check my post you’ll find I was talking about Sky broadband, Sky Talk or Sky mobile with regard to the “ extras”, not Sky Sports, which was the first part of my post, but I see where you are coming from.

Phoned them, got through to a sky adviser within 2 minutes, saying that i am a vip member due to being with them for a while so by all accounts this gets you through quicker.

What number did you ring. The two numbers I ring both tell me their not answering calls on sales and billing which is who I need to talk to presumably.


Just say no to all the automated jargon questionss and you will then go through to an adviser.

Phoned up earlier, Sky Sports suspended for 3 months(saving me £18) and I can carry on watching the programmes. They'll be reviewing this on 1st June if live sports have not resumed. Pity BT Sports aren't doing the same.

Sky have, for now, closed their sales department to deal with issues as this so that callers don't wait too long on the phone...I waited a minute or two
