Award-winning Swansea Market is the largest indoor market in Wales. Found in the heart of the city, it is the best place to try Welsh delicacies like laverbread and cockles, due to the Swansea’s proximity to the sea. There are over 100 stalls selling a range of wares including traditional Welsh fayre, along with gifts, jewellery, toys and lots more. Plus, you can relax at one of the cafés and coffee shops.
Heard they do nice curry dishes here.. have to try it, soon

Lots of variety in there. I'm not sure what my favourite bit is. One of the places does amazing welsh cakes, I love the Thai place and I can get my haircut in Taffys while my watch is getting repaired before I get the fresh stuff from the butchers fo dinner.

Your friend is right it is way bigger than Cardiff even if you take the upstairs into account. It is also far more airy as well. I think from memory Cardiff just has the 1 fishmonger there. Different league is what I would say. Bit like Liverpool and Cardiff in a football sense.

People who can access these shops should really make an effort to keep it going. Even if you buy one item just do it. I love out in the Amman valley and I could only dream of having shops and stalls within walking distance. At the moment Lidl is the closest thing to a bakery I got. How depressing..
B******t. If dont know what you are talking about it is beat to say nothing at all. 5 stalls empty out of over 100. At least 2 of the empty stalls will be filled shortly. There are a number of bidders for them and it is waiting for the management to decide who will have them

Cardiff Central Market is fine. Has a very good fishmongers but is much smaller, less diverse and has far fewer stalls selling truly local food like welsh butter, baked goods, shellfish etc. Not seen any in the U.K. that compare-the English Market in Cork and the market in Royan, Charentes Maritime the only ones I have visited that have the same Vibe and range
Yeah. Just thought that your username was hinting you were living in Australia or NZ. That’s all. As subsequent contradictory posts have duly pointed out you might as well be.

It's unique - I haven't come across anything like it in nigh on 20 years of exile

There’s an entrance in Oxford Street where your lot terrorised women and children after that FA Cup match.
