A very slimy chap

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Welsh people voting tory

Especially this new English nationalist tory party

What is wrong with them

At least the Scots are fighting back

Makes me feel ashamed to be Welsh sometimes

Makes me ashamed to see Welsh to see the people of wales still voting Labour after 20 years of the Labour run Welsh Assembly.
Now they want to put two extreme left wing Marxist, Corbyn and Macdonnell in power. Wales deserves better.

Your not even in wales are you ?

I don't like corbyn either

I will still be voting labour though

Doesn't matter how much better off I might be under the tories, just can't stomach them

The miners, the steelworkers who forged a community spirit in this country

What did the Tories ever do for them, or any other working class community in wales

Guess we are just stuck with these tory / English enclaves like pembs, gower, monmouth, parts of North wales, wealthy areas where they think being a tory makes them something special

So you're voting Labour to protect a community that hasn't existed for 30+ years?

Welsh Labour is largely hand-tied as they still rely on Westminster for what matters, and don't have any fiscal instruments they can use (except only recently, with some minor independent tax raising powers). If we'd had a Labour govt in Westminster over the last 9 year things might have been slightly different, or if they were needed as the DUP were needed.

They're certainly not brilliant, but the Tories sure as hell aren't the answer.

Yes, so anti Semitic that it's last leader was err Jewish

The people behind momentum are jewish, not that I like momentum

There are some anti Israel people in the labour party

But this anti Semitic thing has been blown out of proportian

Possibly, but I've noticed left leaning voters tend to disregard past wrongdoings of the Labour party as 'that was new Labour' etc... Yet they continually base their opinion of the Tories on Thatcher.

Just to think this scroat very nearly got re-elected after being found out to be a criminal.

I don't see how anyone can vote for any of the current crop of clowns. One out and out lying buffoon, one anti - semite marxist who would need to go to wonga.com to fulfil his manifesto, a Welsh nationalist who can barely string a sentence together and a woman who looks like she got dressed in the dark and is partly responsible for the mess we are currently in.

Where are the raving loonies in Swansea east when you need them?

I don't understand how welsh people can vote for a self serving, racist, right leaning tory party that under funds Wales and has slowly destroyed us for decades.

Stockholm syndrome or just f ucking stupidity.

Chris Davies is getting the flak he deserves, but the Davies I really can't stand is the dishonorable MP for Swansea West. Re expenses fiddle, I think Geraint still holds the record as Britain's costliest MP, based on his expenses claim for £176,026 in 2004-5. I wish local people had the wit to vote him out and send him back to Croydon.

What about the last 9 years?

... Other than the financial crisis the economy has remained fairly stable for the last 30 years.

I thought they weren't spending enough money?

Debt has increased (excluding debt held by public banks), but it's nowhere near treble.

So austerity has not had a negative impact on public services, those on lower incomes? 5 million jobs, but many people have multiple jobs and still cannot pay rent, heat their home and not visit any food banks.

Well, Corbyn will bankrupt the Country within 12 months if Labour's manifesto is anything to go by.

And here in Swansea West we have another Davies, and our Geraint loves an expense or two.

As a life member of the GMB, sadly it will be a Lib Dem vote for me

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

I would argue population growth and inflation were the main factors in the issues you listed.

Also with regards to public spending, Labour also acknowledged the necessity of reducing the country’s net spending in 2010:

“Alistair Darling admitted tonight that Labour's planned cuts in public spending will be "deeper and tougher" than Margaret Thatcher's in the 1980s, as the country's leading experts on tax and spending warned that Britain faces "two parliaments of pain" to repair the black hole in the state's finances.
The Institute for Fiscal Studies said hefty tax rises and Whitehall spending cuts of 25% were in prospect during the six-year squeeze lasting until 2017 that would follow the chancellor's "treading water" budget yesterday.”
