We were relegated because the previous owners didn't act soon enough, acted as amateurs and eventually ran out of luck.
Since then we have balanced the books and are putting a good team together in a league we rarely reached for most of our history. |

They're not incompatible statements to say that the club wasn't even close to being as prepared for relegation as it should be, that the fire sale in August 2018 wasn't particularly well handled, and that it's absolutely necessary to bring the finances back into line now, and the club is doing better in that regard now.
I'm just shocked anyone's giving any credence to this article anyway, or acting surprised in any way at the thought they may look to move on. It wouldn't surprise me if this was someone's way of running something up the flagpole, it's not as if they don't have a contact with the red tops, although I suspect they'd do exceptionally well to attract interest at that price given the market and the legal issues. Wasn't Hull going for considerably less than that? |  |
