Cricket World Cup thread. 10:09 - May 21 with 59059 views | Snipper | Jofra Archer has been named in the squad, and rightly so. He offers genuine pace and he’s still relatively unknown to the other teams. I don’t agree with the omission of David Willey though. I wouldn’t have had Liam Dawson. But hey ho. This is the first round robin CWC since Australia/New Zealand in 1992. For me, that was the best CWC. Australia were big favourites, but lost their first four games. England are big favourites for this one. Let’s hope we get off to a better start. Come on England ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿.

Ever since that story of Aggers DMing a series of expetives to a journalist I lost respect for him. plays the nice guy but his thin-skin reveals a not-so-nice personality underneath. |
I could listen to Prakash Wakankar reading the telephone directory - total gent. Yes there are a few rumours about Aggers in addition to the recent stuff about the journo.

Agreed, you can add Dagnall as well. Tufnell can grate sometimes too. It can all get a little too chummy sometimes, which is where the guest 'oppo' commentators can make a positive difference. I thought the recent Talksport coverage was pretty good and a nice alternative to have.

Cricket World Cup thread. on 06:45 - Jul 11 by qprd | I rewatched India’s batting innings and realise that you are right and I was wrong. That was actually a gutsy innings by dhoni and it was clear that dhoni was letting Jadeja try to win the game and keep strike |
Cheers for that. India should have won, but I love NZ as the David amongst Goliaths. I just hope (against hope) that they can sustain that in the final.

Cricket World Cup thread. on 13:15 - Jul 11 with 1357 views | timcocking | Glamorgan have an Aussie playing in England for the first time this year, Labuschagne. He's our best fielder by far, the leading batsman in the whole division (Glamorgan are top of the second after being hammered last year) and a dangerous leg spin bowler to boot. So they must have a decent side.

different era! there isn't a spin bowler in the world who doesn't get a bit of tap sometimes now. 3/54 off 10. You'd take that every day of the week!

Cricket World Cup thread. on 09:55 - Jul 11 by daveB | Australia are like Germany in football, no matter how good or crap they are they turn up in World Cups and are a really hard team to beat. Smith is the key to the game, if he gets a good score they'll win. |

Not underestimating the Kiwis at all but to get to this position of chasing 220 in a semi to play NZ in a WC final, if they don't win it this year they will probably never have a better chance.. [Post edited 11 Jul 2019 14:59]
