Embarressed 20:51 - Dec 15 with 7820 views | swiggy | For the first time in over 50 years of watching the mighty dale I am embarressed. We lost after shooting ourselves in the foot twice, the away fans are laugining at us, because we are rubbish, pass back, pass back, pass back. Easy defend, pass back, keeper misses it. Ho up ho Merrfy Christmas. Here’s my solution, pick the best players I the best position and play them for a few games, let them get used to playing together and it will be OK. Do not play the best striker in the league in midfield doh doh, Homer had a point. If it doesn’t work sack it.

Embarressed on 21:40 - Dec 15 with 4688 views | SuddenLad | You've been watching Dale for 50 years and that's the biggest embarrassment you can remember ? Have you been blindfolded for all the previous games ?? Today wasn't good by any means, but it's a long, long, long way from some games that have preceded it. Dale 1 Telford 4 as an example. You need to think again.

Yes, I did watch the Telford game and all the succession of crap since, but ffs we have the best set if players we’ve ever had. Top scorer in the league, lets play him in midfield, ffs we have more midfielders than enough. Please. Let’s have a settled for a change

There is a major difference back then we mostly played to our potential, we were crap because the team was crap. Today in general we have good players some very good players we play crap because the manager is crap. [Post edited 15 Dec 2018 23:58]

No not just disappointed at results/performances. Based on interviews he seems to have lost his joie de football.

I have thought this for a while. The Hill of old would have got players out on pitch with fire in their bellies. After a loss his interviews would have been more passionate. Has the loss of his father plus the stress of JT's illness, considering he sees him as a son played heavy on his mind?

Embarressed on 00:32 - Dec 16 with 4289 views | rochdale_ranger | I farted and followed through one day at work. I had to leave my boxers in the van and go commando for the rest of the day. A few month later my shit stained boxers were found by a workmate. That was far more embarrassing then a goalkeepers backpass. Man up.

No he isn't. We or he may be going through a bit of a lull but to describe him as crap is... well... crap.

IMO which according to some has no value by the reading of it. Players are not coached to make the mistakes they do. The team is set out to deal with the opposition on the day Squad rotation is done to give players experience, prevent injury and give the best chance of victory/draw at least. If it isn't happening already shooting practice needs to happen more from all sensible shooting positions.

5 home wins in 25 home games since late 2017 is "a bit of a lull" ? To describe that form as such is crap.

James1980 - I do worry about some of your comments - wood for the trees and all that! Presumably you are either related or working alongside KH in which case I do applaud your determination in defending his decisions at all times. However, if you are a true Rochdale fan, you will know things aren't right? Shooting practice isn't the answer. The answer is playing your best players in the best positions, i.e. your best finisher (Hendo) up front, your best central midfielder (Cannon) in the centre of midfield, etc. Its a simple game which KH chooses to over complicate Rotation/injuries is currently being used as a poor excuse for not playing the players where they should be.

Never met the bloke in my life. Re shooting practice, why not it might mean less shots are of powder puff quality. as someone else referred to them and give players confidence to take a crack more often.

Embarressed on 10:10 - Dec 16 with 3913 views | dawlishdale | I've said for a long time that I am concerned about the way we are coached. Genuine question, but who actually coaches the payers on a daily basis? Whoever it is, they are not doing a good job. Our defence is leaky, our passing is often pointless, our crossing and set pieces are weary, and we don't shoot often enough. Yesterday being a fine example of pretty much all the above, as has watching us for the past couple of years, especially at home.

Is it the coaching or the players that aren't good enough to transfer what is done in training to match day situations? Are other teams players simply just better than ours? Has the poor home form lead to players being tense and nervous, when they cross the white line at 3pm on a Saturday?

I was thinking in a similar vein to that Dawlish.......does Chris Beech or BBM or the GK coaches EVER question King of the Hill? Do they get any involvement in team selection as they are the ones taking the training/boxing sessions? Would they say "it's too cold for Inman today, play Cannon" This morning's pearl of wisdom on Twitter is "We 've got to be more convincing in the final third"..........but we're still clowning around in the first third and players acting like Chris Brass, would anyone tell him though?.

original poster said for the first time hhe/she was embarrassed. I defy anybody who watched the drivel in the dark days to say at no point where they embarrassed. I was embarrased about the team, the orgaisation, the management, the play....everything about the club was embarrassing. We were a laughing stock.
