World Cup prediction thread on 22:31 - Jun 4 by CanaDale | A lot of surprise that Brandt got the nod over Sane, but Sane has not really performed well for Germany, not sure his attitude would be good for morale too. |
Could also be that Brandt plays in Germany and that got him the nod. Must have been a close decision beacuse Sane is a very good player

Crap! Changed it to Neymar. Shows how good the german squad is I guess.

World Cup prediction thread on 20:52 - Jun 7 with 2162 views | mingthemerciless | Anybody else watching the Costa Rica game ? All England so far, Costa Rica not at the races. We're very busy and playing with a bit of youthful vigour and enthusiasm. Just lacking a tin opener in the midfield. Good goal from Rashford out of the blue.

The Game Has Gone, part 74: England, who wear white, in red. Costa Rica, who wear red, in white.

I'd be happy to see red as England's first choice shirt

World Cup prediction thread on 22:30 - Jun 7 with 2081 views | dingdangblue | I like the look of Loftus-Cheek : looks very calm and classy and the sign of a great player is he always seems to find space and have time on the ball and never seems like panicking when the opposition are around him. Could be a star if he gets a chance and takes it.

But that would leave only one proper midfielder in Dier, not totally convinced in Alli when he plays deeper but he’s got history there. Lingard for Sterling. Tunisia may not be as poor as many presume.

I wouldn't even class Dier as a proper midfielder tbh and it makes Wilshere's omission all the more puzzling. Lingard puts more of a shift in tracking back than Ali for me and doesn't look like a walking yellow card when he's ready to put in a tackle. All opinions isn't it? It's also important to note that Lingard has also had a better season and looks more dangerous offensively when we advance. If we're really bothered about protection then we should be playing an extra man in midfield and four at the back but it looks like counter-attacking is gonna be the way we're gonna go so we need a bit of umph in the centre. Me Auntie's faster than Dele

Henderson may get the nod over Dier and Alli has to produce or risks being left out after Tunisia.

Alli shouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI for me. With regards to the Dier/Henderson debate, I think they're both distinctly average but I probably just prefer the latter

That would do for me to with Vardy waiting in the wings if we struggle to score. Like the fact that Stones Rose is a very bad anagram of Stone Roses
