Dunno about you but how this moronic turd of a programme keeps being recommissioned is beyond me. About as amusing as a dose of clap. Have tried to find one endearing or amusing attribute and failed.

It is complete and utter shyte, but wins all sorts of awards just like the equally awe inspiring Miranda.

What was the last decent sitcom the Beeb have made? I'm struggling to think of anything in the last ten years.

Agree. Absolute Shoite...and I thought I was the only one.

Last time the Beeb made a classic comedy series was the Young Ones in 1984.

Saying that though, in relatively recent times the Beeb have given us I'm Alan Partridge, The Royle Family, Gavin & Stacey, The League of Gentlemen, That Mitchell and Webb look and the imperious The Thick of It.

I originally liked the theatre warts and all style presentation when this first was aired. On th edge comedy with plenty of stunts, the cursing and swearing was great for late night viewing.
As popularity has increased, and they have tried to make it mainstream, so it has lost its appeal.
I could not bring myself to watch the latest offering after the first episode.

Never watched a full episode, but the clips I've seen are complete shite.

"Car Share" was pretty good.

I think we're due some new sitcoms! They seem to have been more focussed on dramas more recently, and some good ones too. Sherlock, The Missing, Luther, Line of Duty, etc. Although some of those are getting on a bit.

Coupling was very good, and although not technically a sitcom monkey dust was fantastic, but it was only ever on bbc3 late at night.

Coupling ( stretching the "last ten years" criteria slightly).
The thick of it.
Bad Education
Gavin and Stacey.
Psychoville
Inside No 9 (possibly stretching the definition of "sitcom" a bit).

Coupling - "Lesbian spank inferno" and "I'm undecided about spots" ...very good.

Monkey dust was really dark but brilliant at times. "Mr Hoppy" & the alcoholic/gambler dad (sad as feck).

I dread minute silences at the football and at funerals now. To know about the giggle loop is to become part of the giggle loop.

I loved that series, although I don't think much of most of the actors. Richard Coyle was exceptional though. Some of it was genius.
