The thought of Swans in the premier league for 6 seasons and Wales in the semis of the Euros would have made me laugh ten years ago, and I would have easily settled for just seeing that. To be fair, at least I've enjoyed it, unlike some, who've just moaned their way though it all.

You're absolutely spot on. When we won the 2011 playoffs, if somebody had offered me 6 seasons in the top flight, I'd probably have bitten their hand off and it's been a journey I never expected to happen again in my lifetime after we left the top flight more than 30 years ago.
As for Wales' exploits in June/July, I had an absolutely fantastic time travelling around France and again, it was something I didn't expect to happen in my lifetime.
