I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.
We actually got into Marcella. It was bit fast moving watching it on catch up. It seemed as if there was another murder victim every fifteen minutes. Anna friel was quite good.
I know there's a new Jed Mercurio thing coming up soon which should be good.
Line of Duty is excellent TV. Not just a run-of-the-mill cop show, the interrogations are brilliant! I haven't seen anything else of his over here (we're still two seasons behind in LoD, ffs!) but I'd gladly have a bash.
Btw, whoever it was who first raised "The Sandbaggers" in the TV themes thread, plus Brian Mac who tracked it down on YouTube (every episode is there bar one from season 2, no great problem), I have to thank you both. I have watched the lot and enjoyed it enormously. Like LoD, it's not so much about action, more about who knows what and what are the implications of that, ie, brain food. Very highly recommended.
Started watching the Vikings last night on Amazon got through 1 season in an evening , very good so far although not as much hanky panky as I expected
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Vikings is brilliant. Gets better each season. Ragnar Lothbrok is superb. Lagertha is fantastic. The hanky-panky quota ramps up a bit too....
yeah a bloke at work has said he prefers it to GOT and that the seasons get better and better he also said watch out for the son as he really turns , going to start season 2 tonight

Just binged the whole of Wild Wild Country on Netflix, a documentary about the Rajneesh cult in Oregan. I knew nothing about it, and it unfolds like a drama with twists aplenty.
Binged the whole first season of The Expanse (Syfy through Amazon Prime). Really enjoyed it. Lots of charging around in zero gravity, decent detective story running through it all. Can't get Season 2 on Amazon yet.
Also: Scandi noir 'Trapped' is excellent and have recently watched first three seasons of 'The Bridge'.

The new (last) series of "The Bridge" is imminent - 11th May, I believe .

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
Watching second series of Handmaid's Tale. Like GoT post S5 it's now beyond where the book got to. First episode was unrelentingly bleak and despite looking forward to the new series I nearly switched it off. Glad I didn't because the second and third episodes are very good, doing more flashback back story than the first series, which works well. Elisabeth Moss is just superb.

I saw that image in the trailer, it's a helluva picture!
What is the general message here, that young women are the new slave class?
Just caught the fist two free episodes of Cobra Kai on YouTube Red. Tapped right into my childhood nostalgia of The Karate Kid Movie from 1984. They've done a wonderful job resurrecting the characters from the original film, usually this sort of thing rarely works but this is well worth an enjoyable watch, it's getting some rave reviews.
You can watch the first two episodes on normal YouTube but it's a YouTube Red production. YouTube Red is just another Amazon TV/Netflix kind of deal but as you say, we can't subscribe to it in the UK. You can however pay for the other non free 8 episodes on normal YouTube through your Google account. They're just under £2.00 each I think. I reckon it's worth it. I've watched them so far through my PS4's YouTube app and the picture quality is perfect HD.
Against my better instincts, I stuck with Homeland and I'm really glad I did. Once they gave up trying to be plausible or consistent, it was very entertaining.
I've fallen down the rabbit hole of Sopranos for about the 35th time. I re-watch the first episode again if I'm hungover and it's on Sky Go and get reeled back into watching every fckin episode and series.
Six episodes into The Crossing on Amazon - totally hooked. Beautifully shot, directed, acted (in the main). Sci-fi (but only mildly) thriller. Set in Oregon but actually filmed in British Columbia.
"Refugees fleeing a war seek asylum in an American town–but they claim to be from America, 180 years in the future..."

Just watching the episode from this evening with a huge RTA and two blokes shot in Birmingham. Raw stuff. These paramedics, fire crew, police, NHS and support staff are truly amazing. Stick another 5p on my tax anytime you like to recruit more and pay them what they deserve
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
