He had a big op last April so it's been hard for him to get back playing regularly. Now that teams are finding out how to nullify Jeff & that ayew isn't really a winger we really do need a fit and firing routledge

Be over there now after

Agree. Hopefully Routs can get on his A game and add effect to our pedestrian final 3rd play.

One thing with Routledge is that he has bags of skill and can do something different with the ball, Jeff is finding things hard with 2 on him but when there are 2 on him we struggle to make the most of spaces elsewhere.

Hopefully having Wayne in the team will also get some of our understanding back, players at times look a bit lost for ideas.

When Routs came on 1 thing became apparent straight away, namely that we had somebody actually out wide right. Imagine that,a player playing in his position with the added bonus of balancing the play. Whilst obviously not pulling up trees ,1st game back and only 30 mins or so, he offered more than Ayew and Montero combined, linked play well with Naughton and Siggy, even a couple of crosses came in if i am not mistaken.
Deserves to keep the spot but does GM have the balls to drop Ayew ?
