Evening all. Planning on going for a walk tomorrow if it's dry, topping up the old Vitamim D. Feel like trying somewhere new. Can anyone advise where's the best place to park and where to go from there? Looking for a casual walk lasting around an hour. And not Hollingworth Lake! Many thanks in advance.

If you're starting from the Whitworth Road entrance you can park at the bottom end of Shawclough Road. From the entrance opposite The Healey, there should be space outside the Healey itself.
It's a great time to walk in the Dell, with the trees at their best this time of year.
Thanks for the tips, looking forward to it. There are plenty of woods around here (once part of Sherwood Forest apparently) but if Facebook is to be believed, you can't walk a hundred yards without a machete based dog-napping taking place.
