This coming Saturday 19th September, the Rochdale Environmental Action Group will be hosting the first Rochdale Environmental Action Forum. It will be held at the Castlemere Community Centre on Tweedale Street, between 10.30am - 1.30pm including lunch. It's aim is to bring together local voluntary groups, alongside representatives from Rochdale Borough Council Environmental Management Services and Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority, to develop a strategy for tackling litter and recycling in Rochdale. It is a free event, and we are encouraging members of the public to join in and participate in what we hope will be a very constructive day. Come along and bring your ideas as to how we can improve the image of Rochdale - so even we can't call it a shithole anymore!
