It's the only opportunity to reach the general public. Why not enthuse about the young kids, accentuate the positive; give the impression that there's something exciting happening that people might want to turn up and watch.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31466279 If Cook didn't spend so much time trying to referee the match, he probably wouldn't sound like Liverpool's answer to Phyllis Pearce! [Post edited 21 Feb 2015 20:02]

Interesting interview by KH and clear what he is saying - he refers to Murray and COG and needing a board with 2/3 million coming in. What he is basically saying is I did not want to see MD but I had no choice and whilst I have to do this we wont get far - Totally agree tbh.

Hilly will never manage a club that won't at some stage sell its best player though, Man Utd had to sell Ronaldo. Once a players head is turned the writings on the wall and Hogans bad injury hours after we sold him enforces the fact that beggars can't be choosers. Having somebody throwing a couple of million at the club every season would be good though, but we do ok and Hilly will be well rewarded for the things he has to put up with, it could be worse.

In the immediate aftermath of the sale of Done, KH said he was in full agreement with the sale and said it was great business for the club and for Matty and that it would be wrong to stand in his way. Can't have it both ways.

Just makes you wonder what KH really thinks - clearly the reaction in general of the fans is not good to the sale. I would suspect it was against KH's wishes and he had no choice and almost wonder if playing Bunney at LB and then up front is his way of making a comment to the board. Would not suprise me at all if KH said to the board that if we are serious about play offs we need MD, he is sold after board say we cannot keep him, KH tows the line then he plays Bunney at left back almost as if to say - well thats this season done - pardon the pun!!!!

It would be interesting to see some figures for number of televised games against number of wins on TV. I can't remember last time we won one.

Well if that's the case ( which I very much doubt) the club need to remind the manager that he is employed by the club to manage the team and if he is jeapordising results to make a petty point then he needs hauling in. Let's not forget supporters pay hard earned money to drag their arses to these games. I find it very hard to believe that your version of events can be correct, Hilly's a winner.

I am not saying this is fact TS, far from it, but I would say Hill wanted to keep MD, reluctantly agreed to sell, and I think most of us here know thats play offs probably gone. Hill then makes a point about the lack of ambition via his selection - I don't honestly see why JB was ever going to work at Left Back, pub team wingers would have run him ragged. Thats the only logical reason I can think of, bearing in mind most of the other "kids" are no longer in the side.

maybe if we gave him pay supplements based on league position and average attendence instead of player sales as has been suggested on here we might hear and see a different story.

Darlington lost, Darlington won, Stockport lost, Darlington lost, Gillingham drew, Gillingham lost, Luton lost, bury lost, Birmingham lost, fc Utd lost, bury drew, stoke lost with Hilly. Don't think I've missed one? Its a dire record on tv.

If we paid him on league positions we would have been playing on Lenny Barn by now (skint). I don't have a problem giving him a cut on transfer fees but if that's the case then spare us any bleating about losing our best players. If he isn't on a percentage then i agree with his sentiments. I know you're just putting a scenario forward here - but think what it'd mean in terms of Joe Bunney himself. Basically, Hilly would be f*cking with a young lad's career. A couple of games getting turned over at fullback could easily undermine someone like Joe Bunney - and who's to say it hasn't? It is just a scenario, though.

It is very much just that D Alien, I am only guessing based on what has gone on, who is to say that KH played JB at left back in order to improve him long term and told the player that and not to worry. It would not suprise me at all
