Gomis needs confidence, so he needs the goal. I'm sure Shelvey can make do with doing everything to set up the goal right before that moment.
Gomis still lacks the strength of Bony as well as presence. Let's the ball slip away from him too easily at times. Did see an improvement today though - more of a hunger about him.

I agree, he's a very different striker from Bony, but he was more lively today. Work to do, but he'll get goals if he keeps this up. Came close to having one early today.

Cracking header after a few mins that was blocked on the line mind. And I enjoyed his feint and run in behind near the end of the first half. He was out of the game more second half (as were a lot of us as we played the containing game. I though he was ok, but motm was pushing it. Ash was outstanding again 2nd half. Cork had a great 1st half as did JJS.
