Hilly on 11:23 - Oct 3 with 5868 views | Toffeemanc | I think Beech doing the interviews in the last week is just Hilly's way of ensuring the players and indeed himself remain focused on the game tomorrow. He seems to intentionally have avoided all media since last Saturday so they haven't had the chance to create a media circus around the Barnsley game relating to his previous time there and stories of revenge etc. Excellent management in my eyes. I'm sure Hilly will be doing everything to win the game and prove a point, although I also feel he really will just see it as just another game, albeit if we win it may just feel a little more satisfying than normal.

He did the same last season when he was up against Flicker - kept everything low key. He'll be very calm and collected tomorrow but should things go our way I imagine he will be bouncing inside.

Hilly on 11:50 - Oct 3 with 5786 views | SuddenLad | Exactly the right approach. Don't allow the media to turn it into a 'grudge' fixture with a personal agenda. Make no mistake, the players will realise the importance of the fixture, not least Matt Done and Stephen Dawson who have been ridiculed in some quarters. The best approach is to take the game as any other fixture and talk about it after the event.

Agree with that Lama, all involved must feel 10 feet tall between 2 & 6pm on a Saturday!! Win Great move on. Lose - Dust ourselves down and move on. Just look how the players approached the Walsall game after the disapointment at Bramall Lane. That night told me all i needed to know about this sides resolve and desire to get it right on the pitch.

Yes - the worst 3 players ever to pull on a Barnsley shirt if you believe them over there. Steven Dawson, Matt Done and Tom Kennedy. And the worst manager in their History. We've got no chance tomorrow with those 4 losers! [Post edited 3 Oct 2014 11:54]

On the other hand, I wonder whether any member of the staff or squad at Barnsley could care less about playing against a team managed by KH tomorrow. All they'll be concerned about is digging themselves out of the hole they've made for themselves.

I bet Tony Pulis has already politely refused. Owen Coyle has switched his phone off but Paul Ince is 'available'.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29475924 No doubt he may get linked, but I would be very surprised to see him leave at this time. I think he has learnt a lot from his time at Barnsley and whilst he will eventually leave us again at some point I'm sure it will be on his terms and not at the first opportunity that arises.

Same here, and I think that Bolton is the worst club you could possibly choose to go to right now. I was just being a bit of a n0b.

It's a good approach. Strange he didn't just do the programme notes as normal though: talk about last week's win, how well the players are doing, thanking the support and bland lines for the opposition "welcome to Barnsley and Danny Wilson, hopefully it'll be a good game".

He's 12/1 fifth favourite with William Hill at this moment

Fook me they better give the ever achieving Paul Ince an interview at the very least, they wont know what they're missing out on unless they appoint him

They may well have done, but they'd be crackers to even consider going to Bolton. Debt ridden, Freedman was tasked with a return to the Premiership, but was refused funds to achieve it. Bolton are in a cul-de-sac and facing the wrong way. It will get word before it gets better. Anyway, we are a better prospect at the moment.

Martin Cranie, I believe, is the only player signed by KH who remains. This means nothing extra to our players or manager, but it does to supporters. If we play like we did through September, I can see a meltdown coming on our forum. If we win, everything's rosey. Such is the fickle nature of many "fans".
