I am keen to know why we can't expand Loftus Road Stadium. I understand the fact that QPR has to "follow" the times and "grow".... why not stay in Loftus Road and expand the ground. A new stadium in a new development will take years to realise, the cost will be immense and success is not guaranteed with well documented new stadiums like Reading, Middlesbrough, Bolton...
Surely it will cost much less buying over land in Ellerslie Road, Loftus Road and the School, than to pay CarGiant and other land owners for acres of contaminated land and to spend even more to develop? |  |

I have finally solved the problem! With the steady increase of large high rise buildings in the area with no mention of light loss in the surrounding areas, the answer to our conundrum became both logical and obvious.
We use the existing footprint, possibly the Jack Tizard school too, and build a Burj Khalifa style pair of tower blocks and balance the new Matrade Loftus Road stadium atop the buildings with a retractable roof and safety netting all round. Dedicated high capacity elevators for each stand, independent services to the stadium and a unique view over London for non football usage purposes. |  |

I thought all planning in Hammersmith and Fulham was around flats that reach out of the atmosphere and that was the only options for new construction that the council have any interest in.
The infrastructure required for a much bigger stadium is just not possible.
If ever there was going to be a new stadium, it's likely to be nowhere near Loftus Road.

Forgive me but we are losing £2m a month we are skint HOW are we paying for any new ground? Or buying land near us to expand? New ground is £200m? Sell loftus road but we know there are covenants it must be a sorts facility so who buys it?
