I'm sure this has been said several times over, but in the modern world of football, when a bloke turns up at a club and promises the world, fans cannot just sit back and accept everything they say at face value. Clubs have been done too many times. There is a responsibility upon supporters to ensure their club is being run above aboard.
Naivety is not an excuse. Munto turned up and you dropped to your knees in front of them. Blaming the FA is a cop out. You were a fan owned club, and went for the quick buck. I wouldn't blame hotmail if I really believe there was a bloke in Nigeria offering to send me £200 million of oil money.

What you say is true but we wasnt fooled by a sole email from somebody from Nigeria,we was fooled by a professional conman who produced bank statements saying that the money was there and waiting,the FA must be held to blame as they did all of the proper checks on Munto and Russell King...
When Sol,Kasper,Sven and Lee Hughes (dont start on about him) turned up at the club you do start to believe the hype as im sure that Rochdale fans would as well...
