Reckon he will do a job for us. Been in a losing team for the past 3 seasons and confidence must be low. At least now he is actually playing in 'Hoops'. Under Harry I reckon we can get the best out of him.

I was just chatting to a Wolves and a Reading fan at work and they both think he's a great signing. Real hard worker with a great touch....not a massive goalscorer though but on a loan, seems a good option.

Was once a class act, he's played a lot of games so he should be fit, a change of scenary could work for him.

I'm glass half full on this one but not expecting 20 goals or anything Austin-esque.

Decent signing and rather him than the lad from Inter we failed to sign. Agreed he has not been prolific for a while but you'd hope new lease of life and all that as the goals have got to come from somewhere now Charlie is missing. He is similar to AJ but better at holding up the ball and we now need more from Kranjcar/Phillips and definately Hoilett.

SImilar to Helguson also who didn't get too many but was pivotal in our promotion season.

Don't rate him personally, but he might be able to stay fit and can play as a lone striker as well as with a partner. Let's hope he does the business.

Could be very astute bit of business.

From his perspective, I would hope he sees this as a chance for a contract with us in the Premiership next season.

From the club's, if he plays a part in getting us back up, job done. If not, there's no big commitment or outlay on our part.

Win/win to me.

From the wolves offy:

The Republic of Ireland international striker, who joined Wolves back in 2009, has found first team starts limited in recent weeks and with Kenny Jackett having brought in Nouha Dicko and Leon Clarke.

Kept out of the team by Leon Clarke?

Still a good player. Big chance to shine for the remainder of the season. Generally works hard.

Never knowingly right.

Ah - that explains that weird expression Redknapp had when he was being interviewed from his Range Rover earlier today!

Good signing imo. I think he will rise to the challenge. Needs to start off well to get his confidence.

Does anyone honestly think Doyle and Dellatorre can replace Austin? Would rather have got one real quality striker. Worrying unless we can get someone else in.

Will sum it up tomorrow when these lads are up against Vokes and Ings.

And which quality striker would that be?
Its a tough act for anybody to follow, we've just got to get on with it.

Welcome to the REAL HOOPS! He will be a hard working target man. Charlie isn't the the perfect player either, first touch not great and took a while to start scoring proper goals. However, he had settled in and been in great form recently, Let's get behind the new players and give them every chance to get going and settle in.
