Time to go Hughes! This just isn't working. I just hope that Fernandes has a suitable replacement lined up. The team lacked spirit, cohesion and fight for over an hour yesterday, bar some exceptions notably Taarabt, Nelsen, Diakité and Granero. I expected them to come flying out of the traps.

Frankly I'm sick of the sight of Hughes and the ex-Chelsea keeper's (who's name I can't spell) miserable faces on my TV screen every time they zoom in on our bench. One advantage of being at the game is that you avoid this. Also sick of the sight of a more and more disappointed looking Faurlin going to waste, what was it Tony said when Faurlin was on the road to recovery - it'll be like making a 15 million signing.

Just read that the genius and sound sleeping Hughes has pinpointed an area for improvement after yesterday's game - defending set pieces!! I think that a career move into marketing matresses for insomniacs would be most advisable. Rant over.

Too many players turned in inadequate performances. Yet we managed to draw against a side who had 1 attempt on target in 90 minutes and very few attempts from open play.
The foundations are there but the intensity has to step up all over the park.
10 games in, no wins. Make no mistake we are already involved in a battle to avoid going down with Reading and Southampton.

For those of you who are baying for the gaffer's head, we have missed our chance of one interesting option as a replacement. Ollie was just picked up by Palace. Now, I wonder how he would go with this lot? Haven't had a chance to see the game yet, so won't comment until then. Only good news was that SWP was on the bench throughout.

Time to say ta Taff but it just ain't working ! You've had a decent crack and fallen short so on your way and thanks for the heart ache. Ta Kaspar knew you'd be worth a punt ! As H.Simpson says, the irony, ah the irony, no really the irony !!

I reckon Doughnut & Bill are on the money, how the hell does anyone think we can survive this critical year, clubs trying to get back up and stay up next year have no hope. we're in big trouble and "loyalty"to a hopeless management team is not going to save Tony's millions or QPR. we're dogged by poor selections, ineffective game plans and a total lack of application by management during the game. the players seem to lack interest or motivation most of the time ( with a few exceptions) no wonder they get boo-ed off at half time.
Frustrated? dead right I am, for Christ sake even Brentford are starting to look interesting.

The big difference between the teams yesterday seemed to be the work effort when possession was lost. Reading worked extremely hard when they lost the ball but, apart from Mackie, the other QPR players didn't really do enough. Having said that I still think Taarabt was man of the match.

Completely agree with Kaos agent, not taking our opportunities will cost us by Feb/Mar when we are still in relegation zone and the games are running out. Although credit to their goalie, we would have won if it weren't for him.
I don't think we are getting much luck at the moment either, seeing Mackie get completely man handled in the penalty area or a few players from the opposition who put in great performances. I bet the Reading Goalie doesn't put a performance like that next week.

That safety margin is getting further and further away.

Fernandes won't get rid of Hughes, he was the guy he brought in and won't admit he chose the wrong guy.

Like others have said, why not play Granero, Faurlin and Diakite in midfield, Hoilett and Taarabt on wide areas and Cisse up front (not keen on Zamora - doesn't score enough goals), or even mackie up front, he is a striker after all and can finish chances, the amount of times he has come off the bench and scored for us. The great header against City last season. Don't care who he puts in defence (wouldn't matter anyway; can't defend to save their lives).

I'll just add on

I can't see how this could fail - with the team in possession Granero can gradually move forward into an attacking midfield (shooting from outside the box or putting through some great through balls to cisse with his pace he can get on the end of them), taarabt and hoilett on wide areas whipping in crosses or sometimes cutting inside and shooting from outside the box which they can both do. if we get caught on the counter our full backs can try to slow the counter down and/or either diakite or faurlin to come in to help while the other one stays in central position. hopefully hoilett or taarabt can get back by then. we also have great counter options ourselves with the pace of hoilett

A poor attacking display where the Baggies were man for man better at the back than we were upfront. However that. Didn't stop Saints having plenty of possession and playing descent footy. The real problem lay at the back with individual errors giving West Brom plenty of encouragement. Fox was at fault for the second goal and passive repeatedly. He doesn't stop the cross, cut out the pass or force his man backward. Lallana wasn't short of effort but was over powered. Ramirez looked off the pace and generally we looked smaller and slower across the park. A return to 4-5-1 is needed along with throwing Shaw in at the deep end. Maybe in Jan we can sell one of our numerous expensive centre forwards and bring in an international centre half.
