Dnipro Kids orphans
at 11:19 18 Mar 2022

https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/20001970.hibs-charity-dnipro-kids-triump

Hopefully some remember back in Mar 2015 I posted a link to a charity that was raising funds for a special bed for a terminally ill orphanage parent to help her have some comfort through her illness, there was a good response and a significant amount was raised by Rs from https://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?298829-Dnipro-Appeal-Ira-s-Cancer-Fundraisin
Mentioned here.
Thought some would like a little feedback albeit many years later.

Shows the power of our great game and the chance of a UEFA cup game in 2005 having an impact on these kids.
Stevie Carr (who I don’t know) is a remarkable man and I hope that the politicians step aside enough so he gets due recognition. From what I can gather he won’t seek publicity but deserves credit for his selfless work over 17 years.
Hopefully more good news stories to come sooner rather than later

MW & Crypto
at 17:00 19 May 2021

He maybe is the world's richest man?
On the podcast he was asked about investing in Crypto and, almost matter of factly, said not to go near them.
1 week later they've crashed, he's got the markets in his hand!
Hopefully he shorted on them and gave Les and Lee the tip too so we've got oodles of cash to burn on transfers again!!

Edit
Russian Bot on the other hand may be looking for a hand out...

Imagine if we'd started the season like this and fell away in the 2nd half to end up 8th

I have a feeling the names of the most common posters would be different

Paddle board
at 18:54 17 Apr 2021

Calling on the varied experiences of LFW!
Our 11yr old son is keen on the sea and did a lot of wet suit snorkeling around the shore last year and keen to try a bit of paddle boarding. We've got a safe part of the harbour with no tide running through, does go in and out, its relatively shallow so doesn't get waves as such.
Anyhow was wondering if the cheaper inflatable boards are any good for that type of thing?
Inflatable would be good as he could walk 100 yards or so carrying to the shore from the house rather than get his grumpy old man to drive him around to the slip at other side of harbour..
Tbh price is important as don't want to splash out on something expensive that might be a one summer flash in the pan.

Liam Kelly in penalty shootout, Scottish Cup
at 21:41 16 Apr 2021

Motherwell v Morton

Listened on radio so no visuals but he saved 3rd down to his right.
Apparently dived down to his right for all 4 he faced.
Motherwell scored all 5 so he'll be the hero tonight, certainly they're delighted with him

Came on as sub for injured Hibs keeper 60 mins into tonight's game.
Saved a 25 yarder comfortably down low and generally handled well, 1-0 when he came on and was a nervy affair for spelks since Hibs conceded a lucky last minute equaliser on Saturday, St Mirren pumped a few long balls in and 94th min Barnes wasn't convincing punching away a cross on the 6 yard line centre of goal, bounced about a bit and cleared.
Held on for his clean sheet and big 3 pts for Hibs.
They think it's a muscle injury for regular No. 1 Marciano so he's almost definitely out for the boxing day game v Rangers so might interest a few to watch that one.
He looks comfortable and confident doing well in the early stages of the League Cup but this is a step up now, hopefully does well against the Huns as he'll definitely be under pressure, big test for him

Played last 2 games for Hibs, conceded 2 direct freekicks, generally didn't have a lot to do but pulled of this save today.

Si Ferry meets... Clint Hill

I can't see this on here, hope not a Spackman, friend told about this podcast and said it's very good so I'll hopefully get a chance to listen to it soon.
Si Ferry is an ex player and has done a lot of these.

PinnerPaul or other referee, a question
at 16:50 14 Apr 2020

Since we don't have current decisions to worry about can you clarify this for me;
Penalty shootout after extra time. Penalty taken hits the post directly from kicker, rebounds clearly out from goal, strikes keeper on back of head and goes in goal.
Is it a goal?

CV
at 12:18 17 Feb 2020

Hopefully dipping into the LFW mine of expertise here!
Ive never had a proper CV and all jobs I've had have really been through contacts etc and current one I was approached by employer.
There is a job come up locally which is interesting me but its a national company so full CV and application process, does anyone have a decent template I can download etc which suits the modern process?
I'm sure i've pretty much got suitable background and vocational qualifications, although it's in a different field to my work history, so it's getting it down in the right way so I can hopefully get to interview process.
Any help much appreciated!

Interesting twitter page, should appeal to many on here and not least Danny Paddox who could well be resident artist...
