Well if that’s his attitude, we should definitely get rid of him. |

Needs to go end of season. Don’t care if he comes back and does well. We need to have players who can stay fit. |

I totally agree we only get likes of JCS and Adel because they have other “issues”. But Morrison played 30 games for Wigan last season and has had surgery this season. Playing him every game since wasn’t sensible but was necessary. |

I like Field but I’d rather Dunne was captain. Field comes across as a bit quiet and considered. Good traits but not for a captain. |

I’d say it’s a bit of both. Chair injury is bad luck, as is first Morrison injury which required surgery. These 2 have had a knock on impact for the others. With Morrison it meant that Cook basically played with no break and I’d say that contributed to his recent injury. Chair injury and then Dembele has meant a that Saito and Smyth are basically playing every game. Then you add the 2 injury prone JCS and Colback, leads to a lot of strain on a youngish and new squad. But that said, I’d say serious questions need to be asked about how we deal with squad fitness. |

I think you raise some good points to be honest and agree it is childish to just ignore someone because you don’t agree with them. That said, I don’t agree with you about Marti. Performances have fluctuated significantly but then I think that’s more down to having 1) injuries to key players and 2) having to play players constantly without a break when I don’t think that was the plan for eg Morgan, Varane, Saito, Morrison, Kolli. They will be inconsistent as they’re young and/or new to the league. We need Colback, JCS, Chair and Frey to come back in and step up now. They’ve barely played this season and need to shoulder some of the weight during this period. We also need Madsen to show something to make us think he was worth paying some money for. |

Can’t play Fox. I’d move Dunne alongside JCS. Ashby on right and Paal on left. Chair in for Saito. Maybe Madsen for Morgan. Let Morgan go full steam in home game. |

But that shows what fantastic job Marti did last season and how fortunate we were with injuries. Pretty much all players who left haven’t done much and players that were massive for us, JCS, Chair and Colback in 2nd half have been injured. With Dykes and Armstrong going, that’s over half your starting eleven. Makes it very tough. Still, today was maybe our worst game but game before that was our best. JCS is back, as is Chair and Frey. So, I don’t think we need a massive upheaval or panic. |

I’m not saying I wouldn’t have him back but think it shouldn’t be a priority. I also think Hayden is like Field and Varane as a player. Colback is different and can actually pass the ball forward. Getting him fit would be huge for us. |
| Forum Reply | Injuries at 20:48 26 Dec 2024
I like Hayden a lot but I’d say a defensive midfielder who sits in front of our back 4 and doesn’t really pass forward isn’t our top priority now. Centre back, striker (who can hold it up) and centre back would be priorities for me. Maybe we don’t need both Varane and Field in midfield if Colback comes back. |

Cook I think missed 1 game all season. And Morrison was back from surgery. I imagine the plan wasn’t for them to play so much but due to JCS injury and Fox injury and poor game vs Portsmouth, meant cook and Morrison played more minutes than I imagine they wanted to. Need to sign a centre back desperately. |
| Forum Reply | Cook? at 13:32 24 Dec 2024
If he requires rest and not surgery, doesn’t that mean it’s not a “tear”? Maybe he’ll be back sooner than 3 months? |
| Forum Reply | Out Of Contract at 07:28 24 Dec 2024
I think we have to keep Frey. We need to have around 4-5 strikers. We lose Kolli and Frey, we need to find 3 strikers in the summer. Frey won’t play every game but we just need options. I hope we keep both and find a 1st choice better striker than the rest in the summer. Colback and Fox - depends on their wages. I wouldn’t keep Colback because I imagine his wages are high and he’s too injury prone. Fox I imagine isn’t on too much and so I would keep him as a squad player. |
| Forum Reply | Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? at 10:41 23 Dec 2024
I think mentioned earlier but we have done well in players we’ve sold or released. I don’t think we can look and say “I wish we’d kept him”. I wanted to keep Willock and Sinclair but both have done little since leaving. |

I think Marti nails it in his post match interview on westlondonsport, to have so many chances, to miss them, then concede from first real chance and at same time lose your captain to injury……and then to come back and win it from there. That shows not only we’re a good team but most importantly, real character. |
| Forum Reply | Varane at 18:56 22 Dec 2024
Well I didn’t think I’d been that bad. I just thought he got too much abuse too early. But not really my aim to get in rows on message boards. |
| Forum Reply | Varane at 18:12 22 Dec 2024
Blimey where’d that come from. I wasn’t aiming at at anyone in particular. However, I’m sure any criticism on here was the reason he improved as you say. 😂 |
