Just saw it’s the QPR derby up in Glasgow today - Queen’s Park v Rangers. (Not the Championship, I know, but I didn’t think it was worth a new thread) Come on you Q’s, I suppose. |

I went to the doctor coz I was unwell he said to me “boy, y’all shot to hell gonna write you a prescription for some pure heroin” but I traded that sucker for a six pack of the old purple tin The Old Purple Tin Alabama 3 What an album Exile On Coldharbour Lane is 😄 |

Why not complete the Golden Generation set? Stevie G’s Derby County. |

Have they played Derby yet? Frank Lampard’s Coventry City v Formerly Frank Lampard’s Derby County. Sponsored by Kleenex. Sky would need rolling commentators, they’d all be spent after 10 mins. |

Wishful thinking and all that, but that Rovers striker last night really was what we’d like in a lone No 9 - big, strong and fast. He had me bricking it several times. |

Good game, that. Feared the worst when we didn’t score right at the end of the first - was it Chair the first time, as well? Could easily have been about 5-3 but we were worth the win after that 2nd half. Edwards, first half, especially, though. Some player. It’s not going to be nice watching him play against us next season - maybe his old man can work on him a bit, I dunno. Get well soon, Ted. |

As much as I love the bloke and even though he is already a true Rangers cult hero (no, not the L word, not by a long chalk) I’m leaning towards agreeing with WilkinsWaterCarrier on this. We already know he can’t cut it in the middle of a four, ok, he’s been a real asset to us with his height at RB and I don’t underestimate his contribution of late, he’s been outstanding, but do we really think that’s how Marti wants to play long term? Who honestly believes that when Marti thinks about his team for next season, maybe thinking about a play off push, Jimmy is his ideal RB? I still shudder at how that Luton winger kept skinning him the other week. Of course, replacing him for the rest of the season with someone who got hooked 10 mins after coming on as a sub fills me with dread, but, as Clive has said, we’re not in the bottom 4 anymore, so maybe Marti is confident he can fix Ashby? As for Wilder, then he’s just on a mad trolley dash and hasn’t done his homework. Christ knows I love Jimmy Dunne, though. Heart v Head. ‘orrrible, innit? [Post edited 31 Jan 17:35]

Right, here’s what to do. His Postie is Rangers, right? Just get him round there, “couple of these need signatures, Jimmy ….”. If his Postie has a decent sense of humour, he might already have done it. |

I recently downloaded a hiking app on my phone and the voice was the same one. My other half was getting quite sick of me adding “you utter hairy arsed fckpugg” on the end of every “turn right after 200 metres”, etc. Vizslas rule 😉 |

Yeah, I can even remember him being interviewed in the NME - The Post-Punk Footballer - looking quite the indie band guitarist, with his strategic-placed Joy Division badge on his greatcoat lapel and his indie-fop haircut, playing up to the Hip crowd whilst at the same time playing for that lot in front of a load of NF Vermin, doing monkey chants at their own players. Then is so embarrassed and sorry for being a footballer in the past that so he works for the BBC as a jobbing football correspondent. Little Chelsea nob. [Post edited 19 Jan 16:20]

Love the bloke. Just get him practising those 12 yarders with just the goalie to beat, though! Yesterday’s was exactly the same as the Preston one! [Post edited 19 Jan 13:05]
